"Noble hound! Do you not know me? I am the King of
Cats!"
The hound stared at the King of Cats and was befuddled.
"What's all this about? Dancing like a fool, dressed in cape
and hat and sword as if you were a man... it's not natural
and I say stop it!' The hound growled and scratched at his ears.
The King of Cats purred and said to the hound: "My
friend! My foolish friend! Mankind is but a passing fancy
in the universe. We beasts rule the land, though the
humans know not of our plans. Don't you have aspirations
of greatness?"
The dog yawned. "Ah, cat. I just wish for a good bone to
chew and a warm fire. I'll leave you to dream of grand
things."
