Expeditions are fun, make sure to do them when they come up. Dislike that you can't text chat with console players. Recommend playing with controller over mouse/keyboard, much better experience. Plays very well on Steam Deck.

Most entertainment for my $$$ in a long time. Appreciate the turn based game play (think X-Com) and the meaningful decisions I have to make, and there is so many nooks and crannies where things turn up, or... because perhaps I didn't make a certain choice, that there is consequences I see play out in the game (think Dragon Age: Origins). The dice rolls make me nostalgic for tabletop, and while I have the option to do rerolls, or to save scum, I have really been enjoying embracing things as they happen, good or bad, so reroll I save only for life or death situations. Sometimes, the most interesting stories come out. Highly recommend if you liked games like Dragon Age: Origins, or of course Divinity: Original Sin 1/2.

Updating this review only to emphasize the importance of this game. If you enjoyed DA:O, this will be an even more rewarding experience.

Enjoyable story, not as good as the first game story wise, but vastly improved gameplay wise, particularly multiplayer. I'd love to see them make the first story in the D:OS2 engine as a DLC, I'd buy it. Might be hard to rework the story for 4 players though.

Documentation is slim on recipies, I'd like to see more content in that area as well. Seems you can't craft everything, but mixing two skillbooks creates really fun combinations to experiment with.

Overall, well worth they price, and Larian does a great job of supporting their product.

Enjoyable story, quick game, left me with a satisfied feeling that I completed it. Pretty too, made me want to go take a hike after playing it. About 4 hours to beat, played it twice (to get all the achievements).

Early Access Review
What a trip down memory lane! Gameplay just as engaging as the original. Took me about 40 hours to complete, probably because I am not the best at shooters but the story is engaging, funny, full of references to pop culture of the 90s, and kept me signing in to play each night after work... like a good book I couldn't put it down. Had one crash the whole time, and a quick restore from save point got me back on track. I recommend this even if you played Half Life way back when.

This isn't a game for everyone. If you dislike poking through crates, tracking down obscure information, revisiting areas in town multiple times then you might want to pass this game up. If you liked games like Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale, or other similar turn based ROLE-PLAYING adventures, this is for you.

The adventure so far has been entertaining and intriguing. There are great references to literature sprinkled througout, so if you like the classics, you will get some of the jokes.

My current disappointment is that there is no editor for enhanced edition that I can find. I would like to write my own adventures and look forward to that tool becoming available again.
