Excellent game. Character customisation, narrative, game play, all top notch. Does need a decently powerful PC to play though.

Great game. The soundtrack is amazing, the game play itself is varied and the story is excellent. Great humour too. It's actually difficult to think of any major or even minor criticisms, for this all round solid game.

In spite of the fact that the developers seem to be completely unorganised and have little to no idea with how they wanted to build this game to the point that they had large survival mechanic update, the first in years before they released. I would argue this game has a lot of potential and how much you enjoy it depends on how much work you are willing to put into the game.

Further there is an excellent modding community that is still active. Space engineers is a very moddable and has a plethora of working mods.

As of release the developers have started adding fairly decent DLC and expansions that in all honesty are certainly better and well polished than any update or change before release.

It is difficult to believe that it is only in a recent expansion that Keen Software House actually added an economic system and campaign. This change has made the game even more interesting since this is the first time I have had a reason to actually play the game a reason to explore.

Still has an excellent modding community and is a great game whatever you make of it.

I have over 600 hours in this game and have still only scratched the surface. It has regular content updates, in keeping with Paradox's update tradition and the game is constantly being enhanced by said updates. Stellaris is a great game even without all the expansions and such.

Further the modding community is vast and well learned so it is likely you will find something out there to make your game even more complicated.
