Wow. It's been a while since I played a game that has unfolded the way this one has! It starts out feeling pretty simple, but then progressively layers in lots of complications. This presents a ton of interesting choices each turn/day... Excited to see what happens when I have played through the tutorial (the campaign) and try out the extra modes!

Early Access Review
I love dogs in real life.

THE DOGS HAVE KILLED ME SO MANY TIMES

9/10 don't forget that the goblin civilians run away and get friends. Also, real talk, an auto-sort button for inventory screens would be an amazing QOL change!

Peglin is my partner's favorite game and she literally cannot stop playing it. I like it too, but since I don't want to have steam cloud conflicts, I just do other stuff while she plays it on the deck... and think about playing Peglin!

If you played and enjoyed Peggle, or Ballionaire, this is a great pachinko-adjacent experience for all ages!

Unskippable cutscenes aside, I strongly recommend this title!

A bit slow to get started, and the humor may or may not be something you enjoy, but overall a pretty fun, hectic roguelike. LOTS of unlockable weapons and playstyles.

Some people seem upset about the final challenge, and I have not made it that far ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I have played most of the Creeper games and generally I love them, so I was excited to be surprised by this title! It looked a little more like Particle Fleet: Emergence which I thought was a great twist on the usual gameplay.

However, as some other users have noted, it definitely feels more like a puzzle game where there is one "right" way to complete a level. The limit on number of units you can have really forces you to play the game the way that you are supposed to in order to solve the puzzles. There are some weird behaviors with the creeper as well that feel extremely unfair - let me be clear that it is NOT in relation to Digitalis - where it can squeeze through otherwise solid terrain. The graphics feel like a shortcut instead of intentional.

Overall, I think this is sadly an underwhelming entry in the library of Creeper World and cannot recommend it in the current state.

It did get me to go back and play more Creeper World 4, which is great and I strongly recommend to anyone interested in the series!

Great roguelike shooter with tons of cool guns and abilities. Some of the classes take a long time to unlock, so make sure you check out the guides early. I love that if I'm focused I can do a full run in less than an hour!

I love the concept and the minimal art style but... it's not fun. You never feel like you are getting more powerful. You are forced to follow the meta every step of the way, at the start of every mission. I think it could be improved by more generous income and more enemies at the same time. Or, allow players to upgrade the amount of starting resources/station income without relying on that ONE artifact. That would allow some more experimentation with builds and playstyles without trivializing the difficulty.

I will give this another shot after some time, but right now it's a nope from me.

Fun sort of mindless city builder. The overall vibe is great - I love all the Steamworld stuff - but it's fairly shallow in terms of gameplay. You can just let it run and walk away without too much fear of any serious consequences. Overall I'd say snag it on sale, but unless the different maps or higher difficulty make a big difference this feels like a kid's game.
