From among the glut of social interaction, one may sift thru and find such things as conversations.
In particular, for myself, I got into this for the purpose of accompanying MntMariah -her Twitch user name.

I much enjoy the hack & slash setting and especially that it is player skill and not leveling up to gain a game mechanics type advantage

slow paced game.

am still figuring things out.

I think it would be for those who much like this sort of setting - but is is 'not for everyone.'

For me, so far, so good.

Great game for solo-ish play - actually 1v1
something to do that takes a small amount of time like a Solitaire game,
however, much more strategic in how you setup your card deck and the game-play of it -
IMO the 'standard' mode is the most balanced.
Played this for years and it is super enjoyable for me.

There are alot of first person shooters..
I think this one is for those who relish a realistic feel while being very challenging.

It is as if the game cheats - the AI opponents can be that difficult. With just one or more players vs the AI it is hours of fun.

I have played this game only very little;
mainly I play War of Rights -
in common to both is the importance of teamwork,
and not "just" getting kills.

I have loved this game for a long long time.

Before the "lock down" era we are inand out of these days, I would play this game at one of the best gaming venues I Have ever been to!

"War Game Wendesdays" at "Round the Table" in Lynnwood, Washington.

this was our "go to" game!

I did see previous commentaries about this electronic version about how it was bugged and such...

Frankly, I did not give a damn xD

Simple enough to fix, and, so far it has been working just fine!

I can not say too much for the enjoyment of this game.

You may 'just play,' or, if you join a group you may get into 'match play.' This is when this game really shines.

There are groups from just about every country that speak different languages too.

Enjoy!

This game is not for 'everyone,' long term grinds for skill increases make it so. Yet, I may say 'recommend,' it is very 'chill,' a good venue to socialize with players who may become your friends. And, while the grind is lengthy, it is not without reward.

The largest aspect of Wurm is to build within a very detailed system - housing, perhaps a city which is a reproduction of a memorable city from a fantasy setting,. Ship construction. Finally, there are those who play because of the system of animal breeding livestock - which none, or few other games have at all, and not to the degree of detail that is within Wurm.

A interesting thing, a number of FPS 'type' players have found that they actually enjoy the laid back atmosphere's 'way' of drawing them in.

For myself, am playing the game now-and-then, and working at least some on the construction of a ship to establish a transportation business within the game.

Also, am going to work towards being able to tame animals so that I may ride a unicorn (although hell horses are the fastest, but I like the sturdiness of the uni).

Free to play, can challenge yourself to earn the in-game money - typically, as a laborer / gatherer / supplier, if you like.

Initially, it is very complex, and the amount of basics to play the game is somewhat overwhelming.. however, it is well worth the time investment and the AI is great.

Also, if you 'just' play it as you may have had in other games.. building large fleets to zerg across the map - you cannot readily win this way.. the administration and logistics and political factors may all need to be taken into account. One you play awhile you'll see for yourself how the game goes and the delicious complexity of it..
