The map plays very bland, and while I like the music, it's a very weird choice of a song to add into the pack considering Miku's Spanish vocals receive seriously mixed reviews online. There's not really any effects in this map either. I think they should have gone for another well-known Japanese song instead of this, as the the pack only contains a single Japanese song (Just 1dB Louder).

It's worth noting that this, and the other songs, are individually more expensive than the Crypt of the Necrodancer DLC that had 15 Miku songs...

Mapping to the beat isn't the most polished (at least on Hard & Impossible), and it doesn't help there's a better version of this song that has more unique effects available on the workshop for free. For some reason the Audio on this song is blasted far louder than the base volume of any other songs in the game, so be prepared to lower your sound before playing.

Owned for a very long time, even before many of the bosses and classes existed, and think this has great and unique gameplay, but overall its quite flawed due to many of the decisions made during development.

Balancing has slowly gotten worse with every single patch, to the point runs are now like playing online roulette from an online casino; Complete coinflip, except moderately rigged in the houses favour. There are points where the game will deliberately cheat you, as well, which is evidenced by the fact that if you reload your game during battle, you'll consistently get the same terrible RNG despite the fight being refreshed. Ball physics seem to also have some kind of RNG attached.

When classes were introduced, a lot of items also got nerfed, yet it's extremely hard to even unlock classes partially because of the high requirements, but mostly due to the heavy coinflip aspect making it extremely possible to go certain ways in a run. Due to the very limited ways to actually win/progress, you pretty much always have zero control over how you choose to play the game, and that overall ruins the experience.

Would only recommend on sale for around £3/4€/$5 in its current state.

Really great game - reminds me a lot of Peglin mixed with Dicey Dungeons.

The only aspect I think could need changing is that the first boss comes a bit too soon. I think that there should be another 5 more floors before the fight, but they are still beatable once you get the right power spike, plus the rogue-like elements keeps multiple runs fun so dying isn't aggravating at all.

Rest of the mechanics are really polished, and not complicated at all learn while still remaining engaging. Art style is nice, and good sound design as well. :)

Did not know this existed before seeing this prologue on the new tab on the store, and now I'm looking super forward to the full game when it releases!

Patch notes haven't been added to steam yet as of writing, but the game has just received another major update that has pretty much ruined the game:

- New sprites for all the food. Sure there's an option to use the classic sprites, but why was this even necessary?

- System of earning points and buying cosmetics removed; All customisables (old & new) are now microtransactions otherwise you now have a very low chance of receiving a random cosmetic after a game. Any points you had prior just sit there, useless.

- New golden retriever pack is double the price ($10) of the last two ($4.99), for the same amount of content.

- New pack is unbalanced and ruins the general balance of the weekly pack which was the only mode keeping the game fresh.

- Health now lasts far longer and you are healed if you are on a loss streak meaning if you had bad RNG and your build sucks, you are now stuck with it forever before being able to start over.

- Game still has the glaring problem where you are instantly countered (far too common and specific to not be deliberate design) if you are either on a win streak or have just upgraded certain pets.

- They added food items that cause the RNG pets to specifically target the holder. This goes for attacks and team buffs, which destroys the whole point of the RNG abilities.

It's a shame because this is such a great game to play in the background and unfortunately with each update balance gets progressively worse. I understand the developer needs to make money, it's just a pity that's clearly the sole focus.

Great game, too short would only grab if it was on sale - literally finished in less than 2 hours.

Oh, and now they've also censored key parts of the game that were integral to the atmosphere. Don't get me wrong, the game play is still top notch, although now the game has lost its artistic value.
