I mean... I wouldn't have put as many hours as I did, if it wasn't "good".

No ability to set keybinds, nor a FOV slider!
Come on, Devs.....

Fix these 2 things and I'll change this to a positive review!

A great game for space/sci-fi fans. Awesome audio design (EA's DICE levels of audio quality, if not better!)

This game has a steep learning curve, but don't let that turn you down! Once you get the hang of it, it feels like an achievement, and you'll enjoy flying it even more, and you're always learning new little tricks on how to get even better.

If you're looking for an engaging story, though, forget about it. There IS a story and a lot of lore in the background, but it's story is not something that YOU alone can change it, however joining a group of players that have their own "sub-faction", you can actualy start to influence the galaxy.

Speaking of galaxy, the playable area of this game is our very own milky-way, a 1:1 representation of it!

What can you actually do in this galaxy, you ask? Well.. almost anything that might come to your mind!
Want to explore the milky-way? Go right ahead!
Want to trade/haul some goodies around? You can.
Want to catch some space pirates or be a space pirate yourself? Guess what..? You can!
Or if you just want to chillaxe, you can turn to some very satisfying asteroid mining, and watch as you little collector drones pick up all the debry and hear your refinery module purr and chew all those precisous metals into your cargo hold!

Can you do all of those roles or just one of them or a couple? Yes, you can. You're free to do anything you want within those roles.

I know 10 year develpment plan is a long time, but if anyone can deliever, it's Frontier Development!
If you look for some interviews of the Devs, you can see how paxionaate they are about their "little baby"!

Anyway if you're still not sure, you can give it a try. You can try the training missions for free, or if you can, buy the game through Steam, and instead of lauching the game through Steam, you can go directly to the directory where the game is installed and launch the game's own launcher. This will not count towards the 2 hours that Steam let's you play the game for to still be able to refund it.
If you liked the game, welcome aboard CMDR ('.')7. If not, no harm no faul!

Hope this review helped you make the final decision!
