Asset mods are still not in the game, and there was a security breach in the PDX modding platform.

Code mods are available, but assets are not. The game still feels empty.

The game itself is playable, but it's just eye candy. There is no in-depth simulation currently. Maybe it's because major simulation (game) breaking, but regardless of what is causing it, you cannot enjoy the promised simulation level currently.

Currently, the most concerning part for me is how they are managing the concerns of the community. To be honest, it's very unprofessional for me to be "mad" about your community's negativity when you haven't delivered the promised core game features (and to be honest, currently I don't see anything being implemented in the near future as everything folds out).

Currently, I cannot recommend this game as of February 2024.

If you aren't the biggest fan of CS:1, it might be a good idea to wait. However, I must say that the game holds immense potential. The game mechanics have been incredibly well-crafted, and the visuals are absolutely beautiful.

As for performance, it's not perfect. To be honest, I expected it to be worse, especially considering my experiences with Fallout 76's beta, Cyberpunk on release day, and BF2042. However, it's not as bad as everyone is making it out to be. Yes, you may need to lower the graphics settings, and it's a bit odd that you initially get 2-5 fps in the main menu. But after some tweaking, it runs relatively well.

I'm thoroughly enjoying CS:2 in its current state, and I believe it has the potential to become a truly outstanding game in a short period.
