60 minute game review: How do I build stuff again?

2 hour game review: oh hey this is kinda fun.

12 hours...why do I keep dying...why is it so hard to build stuff...maybe I should have paid attention to the tutorial.

15 hours...hey all those things the voice was talking about were important...who knew?!

The recent update with random map generation has made this game into a hardcore survival minecraft game. I was pleasantly surprised by how well developed the crafting system was compared to some of the other zombie/survival type games they have released in the last couple years.

The combat system works pretty well and unlike DayZ they seem to have managed to make zombies mostly work. That being said...the game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hard...its really frustrating to start out when you have no idea how the crafting system works and you have a short time period to figure it out because your food and water meters are dropping fast!

Also...the zombies are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ relentless! They need to adjust the rate/way they spawn and possibly the health and damage...at least at the lower difficulties...I have my server set to 2/10 and after 30 hours its still pretty difficult to survive.

Fun game though. Definitely pick it up if you like these type of games and are willing to put some time in. Do not buy if you're looking for FPS L4D style fragging.

I would hesitate to buy this game for $20 or more at its current development state but it is a definite buy for me at $10.
