This game is honestly how I imagine a real Role-playing game.

You are a part of this world just as much as any AI you interact with, even when you're very strong there is always considerable strength in numbers. Having help by your side is essential, the wastelands are full of patrol and raiding parties. If you're brave enough the ruins reward the most useful treasure, typically science books, to get a technological edge over your foes. Research takes lots of time which is not something very easy to deal with in the wasteland, building a proper shelter with your own safezone, and access to resources is the only way you'll have a chance to survive and thrive in the world of Kenshi.

You can play from any angle in this game with the starter character options, but I recommend wanderer for your first try. The world changes at your will, how you interact with different nations and leaders will impact the land around you. You get to pick anyone you want on your team, and can send them anywhere across the map as an independent unit, or as a group; you can have multiple groups and a very fair amount of people on your team before mods...

This game is very easy to mod or customise the game-play to your liking, I recommend taking a look at the workshop and find some quality of life mods and down-scaling terrain resolution mods (unless you're playing in 4k), as it will save you a lot of time and possible crashes. Not that it's a typical issue, but sometimes it can get hectic with 150+ warriors being managed!!

I wish you luck, traveller, avoid the Oni.

Tried to come back to a game I knew and loved, but it was different, it felt so bleek and grey, I wondered what was wrong while I tried to play.. It just wasn't the same.. And then it hit me, the game that I had loved had completely changed, because THEY REMOVED ALL MY MODS.

WHAT THE HELL IS THIS F***ING GAME WITHOUT MODS.

back to Fallout: New Vegas I go...

An amazing amount of heist missions, and constantly updated every week since release, PAYDAY 2 is a great game to play with your friends! Don't have any friends? Don't worry, there are always tons of options for servers and many kind players who will help you on your journey.

Don't like shooting guys? Play stealthy, be the shadow, there are a ton of customization options to keep yourself hidden. Just want to go in guns-a-blazing? Bring a few ammopacks and some heavy armour and you'll be good to go, just don't expect those guards to think that your guns and armour aren't for a fight!

ARMA 3 has to be the greatest military realism/ combined arms shooter to ever exist. It is by far my favourite, and offers literally hundreds of ways to play the game.

Singleplayer: - Multiple campaigns (more with mods, DLC), I recommend the Laws of War DLC for it's campaign
- Editor mode to make any scenario or campaign you could possibly think of!

Infantry: - AI that are (mostly) smart, and interact with the environment in interesting ways to flank and kill
- Realistic, accurate gun physics like recoil, ranging and sighting, bullet drop, surface penetration..
- Inventory management can provide any type of solider you could want!

Vehicles: - Many options, from go-karts to giant Blackfish gunships, Tanks, Helicopters, civilian vehicles..
and so much more with mods
- Realisitic physics, speed, engine damage, etc (aside from steel bushes, can send your tank to oblivion)

Multiplayer:
- Easy to join friends for a co-op mission, any many options for servers online.. but..

Mods: - Many of the good servers require mods, be prepared for multiple GB of downloads to join some servers.
I must say how amazing mods are, people really care about the items they put into this game and there are hundreds of amazing downloadable campaigns, maps, complete gamemodes, HALO mods, Banana Suit, super planes, jetpacks, I could list off the amazing things here forever because they just keep coming out

One of my favourite FPS on Steam, offering a great mix of realism and arcade experience. A for-sure try for those who like short to medium length matches, no leveling up for gear, and have quick reflexes.

I absolutely recommend this game to anyone who enjoys a quick-paced thrill, there is a lot of fun to be had especially with friends, the game offers a very unique playstyle with the different power-ups which have a very wide range of effects.

A personal favourite game of mine, I still plan on spending many hours with friends on Risk of Rain.
