I took my time with this game, streamed the whole thing, tried my best to be optimistic of the whole experience, I even let them get patches out before I pulled any triggers on any judgements. I paid full price for this game like a true fan.

And yet I can't whole heartedly say "You HAVE to play this one".
It runs poorly even on high tier computer equipment and they butchered the ending.
It's similar to a "Tales of" game where the combat is the star of the show. But a Tales game knows how to write an ending that's satisfying and they usually have a fake out or a great reason to keep playing after you beat it. This ain't it. The fake out was lazy and the final boss is just a glorified normal Psycho with very little going on when they built him up to be super cool.

The character writing is good though. Zane is, and always has been him. He will continue to be him till the end of time and it's great to see him in action.

The game loves crashing not only to desktop, but my whole system after 2 hours of streaming (which is different than just playing I know, so your mileage may vary on this) but it has a lot of really annoying glitches that only effect coop partners like bullets not coming out of the gun while spending ammo or arbitraily getting caught on the game's geometry even when you're standing on flat ground with no obstructions.

I'm not sure how a single soul gave this game a 10/10. Borderlands 2 continues to be the best in the series. ♥♥♥♥ Randy Pitchford.

King of Meat has to be one of the more surprising games I've played. I thought it was Fall Guys meets Dark Souls. But it's more like Fall Guys meets Little Big Planet stretched over Spiral Knights. (That's a compliment by the way)

It's actually crazy how little this game has been talked about. Every level just keeps giving and giving and giving in this weird hybrid between Megaman and Kirby. Genuinely hope this developer makes it big because this is an underrated gem of a game. It can be tough and over stimulating at times but it's rad!

Early Access Review
Game hasn't been updated in a year.
While what we played was charming and such a subversion of expectations, there's a lot of balance choices and enemy layout + design that feel lacking and/or very "Quirky Simulator game for youtubers to make vids to" type game which doesn't really translate to it be a quality game to me. While there are things you can cook to boost you and help with the extremely long debuffs you get, I felt it was unneeded survival crafting padding in a game that had me tricked into believing it was about the minute to minute action.
Maybe next year they'll come out with an update worth revisiting other than "Pig is smart".

the game seems like it's on a worse state than it was about 3 years ago. We decided to revisit it for mother's day and there's a lot of ways to soft lock not only yourself, but others in this game. I'm not really sure how a game got worse as time went on but here we are.

Flyknight feels like one of those old school dungeon crawlers. It's on the slower end of FPS action games but it actually works in its favor. Giving you just enough time to think about what limbs to attack on an enemy and when.
There's a strong emphasis on dismembering your foes. If an enemy has a 2 handed weapon that's hitting too hard, you can knock it off and make the fight easier. If you're getting rushed down, kick them back and sweep the legs!
The only real negatives I can think of is that enemies tend to aggro only one player and not swap. Even when the player is dead that enemy is fixated on ravaging their corpse for some reason. Or in one case we had an enemy run up to us, get up all in our faces and it never swung at us. It was comedic and uncomfortable at the same time.

It's only about 3 hours and that's both a blessing and a curse. I streamed this with my wife and it was the most fun we've had together in a long time. I really hope when the dev gets around to dropping another installment for us it's as good as this. I will def check out their next game!

I missed Happy wars so I looked up what the devs have been up to.
I yearn for a simpler time of wild war with wizards and waving swords.

I didn't hear anyone mention this game at all till today. I played a few rounds and every single round is like being in an action movie. Its crazy and awesome. The combat is simple but hard to master as you try to read the opponent to open them up for a combo while spells and artillery are dropping all around you. Every match has been a crazy. I've never had a game make me feel like the main character then kill me off so many times.

I'm genuinely shocked no one has talked about this game (that I know of). The wizard finger guns people to death, the warrior POWERBOMBS dudes, the Clerics aren't defenseless heal bots and do really well at playing objectives. We need more games in the vein of "simple yet chaotic" like this game.

The AI seems lethargic half the time, game so far has been pretty easy. It's a very interesting mix of magic, tech, scifi, horror, fantasy. The game really is more about having fun than managing survival crafting meters. The game dumps upgrades in your laps and ways to mitigate resource grinding taking a long time. It's like a solid 8/10 but if they could make the enemies smarter and more aggressive it would be a 10/10.
And when you're not doing combat or crafting there's a lot of adventures to go on that feel like "oh noo a creepy pasta. Good thing I brought a gun". What's even more interesting is there are some of these little adventures where it's a puzzle you can't shoot and actually have to solve. Some of them are pretty "whatever" and some of them are like meeting an SCP. Really fun. Would drive motorbike off a cliff again

It's zesty zelda may cry.
Right now it's pretty buggy but it's a fun game with a lot of heart and good slap stick humor and JUST enough story between the fun bits to be alluring.

Cons: The game isn't really remade from the ground up with modern graphics in mind. Assets that were JPEGs back in the PS3 era are still JPEGS
Pros: INSTANT BALLS

The game is peak and smooth AF with lots of custom rules you can slap on at the beginning of the game to speed things up or challenge you and your friend(s)
