I was never a halo fan back in the day. The games to beat then where unreal tournament and quake franchises. Next to those games Halo was just too slow, slow animation you get stuck in, slow acceleration and slow floaty jumping Halo still suffers from this to this day. However, competition these days isn’t so tough the biggest competition these days is Fortnight which has a lot of random elements. Even though every game in the franchise is not yet playable it still represents good value and is recommended for halo fans. It’s not true unlimited fps as the animations including enemy’s movement and crosshair only updates at the original 60 fps which makes the entire game extremely jittery, it’s hard to flick and track. I understand that this is a limitation of the engine however as old games require less processing power it should be optimized better and should run better on modern pc's other old games have no problem running at a minimum of 144fps. The hit boxes seem pretty generous as I can still get head shots when shooting next to the head however feel like there are sometimes hitreg issues. It’s not uncommon to simultaneously kill each other which can be annoying and should probably be impossible with 2 hit scan weapons. I’m not sure if these issues stem from the low fps or where in the original but something to keep in mind. In conclusion its great value there is a lot of fun to have when you embrace to slow speed but due to the poor optimization is best enjoyed casually

I haven’t played in a while so things may have changed. The game design makes it casual due to randomness plus large map and game size. Has performance issues and missing features. That been said it can be a lot of fun.

Had problems at launch it performs better now, Great game but suffers from low population

I’ve only scratched the surface but so far pretty meh and shallow the strategy revolves around having lots of units from the same class for the buff. its ok for a f2p strategy game it’s still in early development so hopefully the game gets better as the updates are pretty fast. It has its fans so maybe with time there may be something here i don’t currently see
