A very challenging and fun experience for those who love fast pace bullet hell games! Nuclear Throne is a perfect mix of "Wow! I'm such a badass!" to "AAAAAGH DAMMIT I WAS SO CLOSE!" it keeps you involved at all times. characters are fun, and is overall a great game.

I'm fixing this review because it was far too bland. This game is more than "very good," If anything, that's an understatement. I first found this game when listening to it's soundtrack (heccing amazing soundtrack by the way, Widdly2Diddly is great at what he does) and I decided to give it a shot. I was a little hesitant at first, as it was 15 bucks, and it started off slow, so I got bored with it. I came back, genuinely got into it and started having a great time. Take Starbound, or any of the Mother series games for that fact, abuse it, give it some alcohol, and send it out into the bad part of your neighborhood and that's this game. Full of mature humor, heartbreaking, tear jerking moments, the game's also huge (I found myself getting lost a lot, but that's my own damn fault, I just didn't know where to look) with over 20 unique party members (some a lot more useful than the others, but hey, still really fun to find them and goof around with) two modes of difficulty (yes, I've beaten both, and for gods sake they both hurt, so don't take this as me bragging) and fun bosses. Oh, but watch out for the "Joy Mutants," people turned into husks by a bad, bad man... And there's a DLC where you play as Brad's daughter! Woohoo!
