While it may be commonly referred to as "Smash but on PC"" I like to think this game differentiates itself in a few ways.

Pros:
- Very easy to learn
- Excellent competitive online ranked system
- 0 pay to win aspects
- Customs with friends are a blast
- Constantly receiving balance updates and new characters
- Supports remote play

Cons:
- Few to no cosmetics for the free to play player
- Map selection is small which can lead to repetitive games

Conclusion - For a free game this provides hours upon hours of fun. While I do hope the future of this game includes community made custom maps and a "brawl pass" (battle pass) I love the game where it stands now and would recommend to anyone who enjoys platform fighters!

I have hit rank #1 in both the 1st and 2nd game and I can say with confidence this game is a waste of money to any online competitive player.

- Online ranking does not punish people who lose
- Certain characters are far better than others
- Overpriced
- No supported remote play

Conclusion - Buy this game if you intend on playing custom matches with friends who also have it. If you plan to pursue the game for the online matchmaking save your money as the online player-base will dwindle within the month.
