Schoof studeerde van 1975 tot 1982 planologie in Nijmegen. Daarna werd hij beleidsmedewerker onderwijs bij de Vereniging van Nederlandse Gemeenten (VNG). In 1988 stapte hij over naar het ministerie van Onderwijs, Cultuur en Wetenschappen, waar hij verschillende functies vervulde. In 1996 werd hij plaatsvervangend secretaris-generaal op het Ministerie van Justitie. Van 1999 tot 2003 was hij hoofddirecteur van de Immigratie- en Naturalisatiedienst (IND) en aan het einde van die periode werd hij ook project-directeur-generaal Vreemdelingenwet 2000. Eind 2010 werd Schoof directeur-generaal politie bij het Ministerie van Veiligheid en Justitie en was hij belast met de vorming van de nieuwe Nationale politie. Op 1 maart 2013 volgde hij Erik Akerboom op als Nationaal Coördinator Terrorismebestrijding.

Per 17 november 2018 is Schoof benoemd tot directeur-generaal van de AIVD. Hij volgde Rob Bertholee op.[1] Pieter-Jaap Aalbersberg volgde Schoof op als NCTV.[2]

Vlaams stoofvlees met frieten

Verwarm de oven voor op 160 ºC. Pel en snipper de ui. Pel en snijd de knoflook. Snijd het vlees in kleine stukjes, bestrooi met zout, peper en bloem het vlees. Verhit de boter in een pan en bak het vlees. Voeg de uien en knoflook toe en bak circa 2 minuten. Voeg laurier, tijm, bouillonblokje, kruidnagels en 0,5 theelepel geraspte nootmuskaat toe en blus af met bier. Laat het gerecht circa 2,5 uur zachtjes stoven in de oven op. Verwarm de frituur voor op 160 ºC. Snijd de aardappels tot mooie dikke frieten en bak deze circa 5 minuten voor. Bak ze als het vlees gaar is af op 180 ºC tot ze goudbruin zijn.
Serveer het stoofvlees samen met de frieten.

Hete peper kandijkoek met spekjes.

Hak de peper op fijne stukjes en doe deze in een bakvorm. Maak het deeg voor de kandijkoek door wat kandij in een ronde glazen schaal te doen en verwarm deze "au bain marie". Als het een smeuig mengsel is geworden voeg je de koek toe aan de kandij. Je hebt nu de kandij koek gemaakt. Gooi de kandijkoek bij de fijn gehakte peper in de bakvorm en zet deze in de op 200 graden voorverwarmde oven. Bak deze in circa 12 minuten goudbruin.
Na het bakken 2 minuutjes laten afkoelen en voeg dan de spekjes toe.

Like in Arms Race, players automatically respawn after being killed, but also when they choose to respawn with bonus weapons.[18][19]
