The game is basically a ms paint checkerboard summed up and still gets clogged down by twenty pawns being on the map. The game is only on a 300x300 grid when people would probobly want double the map size. Considering the technical marvels of today, this is a piece of junk for what it lets you do. It is not going to get any better in terms of performance so they should probably get to working on rimworld 2, seeing as i love this game to bits.

TL;DR
If you thought mixed reviews were abnormal, most DLC's are skewed towards the negative side of things on Steam. Besides, most of the complaints are simply in the realm of difficulty but that is just all the more fulfilling in my opinion.
The consensus are that the damage is too high and not that there are any problem with the enemies themselves. Therefore, i would just give it the go-ahead to buy the Shadow of the Erdtree!

But i shrug at it as i revel in difficult games, just for the sheer amount of accomplishment that you get to experience for overcoming something of epic proportions. Although, you can still grow a taste for it, assuming do you not just rush through the process and put yourself under a huge time-constraint. it is about taking your time, owing to that it isn't like it can be done in a fixed-amount of time, you can either delay or speed it up by being less or more cognizant—to what exactly you are doing: As the saying goes, “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results”.

Love is for wanting the best for someone or something.
So in writting this review i hope to contribute for a better outcome, seeing as the game isn't doing so hot.

Surprisingly a very good game.
It has a great and very nuanced story and most definitely satisfied my imagination of the combine!

My only criticism is how hard it was to carry around Wilson through the entire game, he was also kind of obnoxiously big too and it was very unclear whether you could or could not leave him be, without also then just running a mile back to him.
The outdoors areas was a bit lacking through the entire game and only had me longing to go back inside.

I would have definitely spent money on this and given it that is it is free, it is most definitely worth your time and adventure.

I've totally lost myself in this game and in a good way
This is the sort of game where you pick the character and playstyle that lands on you and even beyond that; you get to create many sub-classes that are entirely unique to you.
You in the best of ways slowly go through the game and then also get to learn in what identifies with you.

You hone your skill in what is an endless journey and meditate, you survive and then also feel complete. You are in the sense of not just being one character but one person that gets to redeem themselves as one hero and then their ability. So it is a beautiful game.

A game where you actually get to play as the villain and expand your dungeon to further expand your options and defences to either defend against hordes or enemys or demolish your opponent. And thanks to the comunity and developers you can attain endless maps, nothing like eatch other.
But there is more to add, like customising your own dungeons floor, core, walls and exedra that can be unlocked by doing bonus objectives through your campain to destroy the empire that rule the overworld

But there are some knock back, espacily if you're new to these types of games back if you aren't very good at managing your dungeon, and where you might need to re-play the same mission several times, because of the deep learning curve through out the campain, but after you're close to completing your journey, you'll find it quite relaxing and almost casual in my opinion, but nothing feels better and more exciting to taking advantage of what type of strategy they are using along with taking them as hostages besides let them fight their own kind! And mentioning that you can both bring in their dead bodies, to make all their mistakes they commit build up as a giant army of undead, led by your fellow necromancers.
