Meanwhile, Japanese have been cutting their steaks with chopsticks. Remember: gun-control means that Lan Di wins. Now I know what you're going to say: "But a martial artist could just disarm someone with a gun!" Yeah, well they can also kill someone that is fighting with his bare fists (as Lan Di did in the first game). But which is faster: throwing a punch or pulling a trigger? Imagine Ryo out in Yokosuka riding "his" bike, carrying a .50bmg Barrett, turning gang members into corpses. I can see it now...Lan Di roaring with evil laughter and boasting to Ryo that he can't be killed, since he can dodge all seven bullets with his Tiger Swallow Style, only to have Ryo give a crooked grin, flick his cigarette butt away, and deliver what would easily be the best one-liner in the entire series: "Well then I guess it's a good thing my 1911 holds 7+1." And that is why Hazuki Ryo should have carried a 1911.

Hazuki Ryo should have carried a 1911. Here's why:Think about how quickly the entire story would have ended if Ryo had simply armed up with good ol' American hot lead. Mad Angels? Let's see how tough they are when you shoot them with a .470 Nitro Express. Imagine how epic the first game would have been if Ryo had put a breeching charge on the warehouse wall, flash-banged the hole, and then went in wearing NVGs and a Kevlar-weave stab-vest, carrying a SPAS-12. And have you noticed that only Japan seems to have a problem with Biker gangs? Maybe it's because Americans have spent the last 200 years shooting deer, playing GTA: Vice City, and keeping an eye out for black helicopters over their compounds.
