I've been playing Apex since day one. I'm not as hardcore as some of the other streamers out there that down 1000s of hours to get Predator level. I play typically in the Plat/Diamond range, which is just enough to have fun while still keeping the game casual. Given my extensive involvement with this game I can confidently say that there are reasons why it's still one of the top played BRs released.

1) The developers actually do care about the future state of this game. Nearly every Twitter post they make, you'll see a trolls come out of the wood work trying to say the game is dead or that they aren't moving quickly enough to address problems. While to some degree I do agree on the slowness of it all, I can honestly say that there are reasons behind the pace and reasons why some issues get addressed before others. If any game-breaking bugs arise, they quickly address them and release a patch usually within a week of being reported. There aren't many long running games that give that much attention to the on-going quality of their product like these devs.

2) The maps are genuinely enjoyable to play on and they change with the story/universe that the creative team has developed. This is actually a pretty neat point, because these changes get subtly introduced as the seasons develop and are really neat to stumble upon while playing. An example of this is when they were introducing Crypto they actually included him in part of the map that was inaccessible in the area that is now known as The Labs on King's Canyon.

3) The community as a whole is not nearly as toxic as other BRs. Sure, you won't have winners every match you play, but on average my experiences have been vastly more positive playing with randoms in Apex versus games like Warzone or PUBG.

4) The characters they introduce are neat and create great dynamics and strategy for each load out. You'll rarely have the same game twice when playing with randoms and strategies change dramatically depending on who is on your team (or the enemy's) at any given point on the maps.

Obviously not everything about this game is all sunshine and rainbows (looking at you absurdly priced skins), but in my experiences the good far out weights the bad. I look forward to further development cycles this game goes through.

See you on the field, Legends.

Final Word: If you enjoy games like Terraria or Minecraft, then this is a no-brainer. You get to explore the vast universe on your terms. You can choose to spend your time, and money, upgrading your ship or colonizing one of the many.. MANY planets that you come across. Although the graphics do feel a bit dated at this point, it still has its own cute charm.

Game Synopsis: A battle royale game in its purest form. You design your character, drop on a series of maps, and loot, loot, loot your way to the top. You can choose to play solo or with a group to shake things up. To add some variety to the situation, each map offers a few exclusive vehicles and/or guns.

Story: N/A

Replayability: A-
Overall: B+

Final Word: A solid game that, compared to many other BRs, has longevity on its side. Although more current numbers do show a decline in users, the servers are still populated enough to have a consistently fun time. Do beware, the company is a tad greedy, so if you see something you think is cool - you're probably going to have to pay for it.

I was very surprised by this game. Unlike so many others, I didn't hear anything about this game until its release day. I saw a bunch of streamers going at it and thought this might be entertaining for my group as well and boy was I right!

The game itself is a fast paced, mini-game filled explosion of fun. The graphics remind me a lot of Gang Beasts - very simple and colorful. The concept itself is straight forward: you begin with a group of 30~60 people who have to run through a series of events to see who is crowned the champion. The series range between 3 to 6 events, depending on the type of events and the number of people who end up qualifying at the end of each event.

The events themselves seem to fall under these categories: race, team, tail, or survive.
Race: Make it from the starting point to the end without either getting eliminated by pink slime or not qualifying
Team: Work as a team to complete the objective. That might be: collect eggs, score points in soccer/rocket league knockoff, or push your ball down the course quicker
Tail: Arguably the most intense -- some people start with tails and some do not. Objective is to end with a tail (or if the team event, end with the most tails on your team)
Survive: These are the quickest way to "thin the herd". Events like these are instant-elim if you fail. This might be walking on the hexagon tower or running on connecting rotating platforms

I'm not sure how many maps there are in total, but I've played for a good few hours and haven't come across too many that I haven't seen at least a few times at this point. Overall though I feel like I already got my money's worth. I am enjoying the game solo or with a group and my viewers seem to be enjoying it as well.

Ah Scribblenauts. When I first heard about the concept of the original game I thought there would be no way to pull off a fully-fleshed and well polished game. I figured that the task of creating something this complex and ambitious would be problematic and severely dummed down. Boy was I wrong! Scribblenauts is an absolute blast to play. Are the puzzles particularly hard? No (although there are some real brain scratchers), but they are plentiful and extremely fun simply because of how much freedom the game gives you.

Example:
Get your character across the river. You could build something simple like a bridge or a boat, but hey way not get creative and build a jet pack or a DRAGON!? You don't just stop there you can also add adjectives to make the game even more amusing! Try adding undead to the Dragon - now feast your eyes on a zombie dragon ready to attack everything and turn them undead as well!

Basically the game's design is built for you to get creative and have fun and it achieves that on so many levels.

How do you write a review about a game that pretty much paved the path for your love of Tactical-RPGs? Or about how after so many years of gaming you have yet to find another Tactical-RPG to come close in both magnitude and quality? Black Isle/Interplay defined and owned the RPG realm in its hayday with gems like Fallout, Fallout 2 & Arcanum. It's great to see that they are coming back with quality games like Wasteland 2.

Do yourself a favor, buy this game and get to know how amazing Fallout was before graphics were such a focus.

Wow, talk about an unexpected thrill ride.

Castle Crashers is made by the same group of Devs that created the little known gem called Alien Hominid. If you have ever played that game then you can immediately see the influence it had on their development style.

Castle Crashers is a wonderful co-op experience.. nah.. a co-op player's DREAM COME TRUE. The game's plot is as purposefully basic - you are a knight tasked with subduing evil and saving the princess. Right away you are greeted with a wonderful world of humor, fantastic art and vibrant colors.

Humor is everywhere in this game and the pacing is perfect. It's refreshing to see a game so wonderful by Devs that clearly had fun and didn't take themselves too seriously.

Do yourself a favor - buy this game right now. 9.5/10.

This is one of those games where you wish you had a third option instead of thumbs up or thumbs down.

The market, as we all know, is flooded with these open-world survival games right now. The idea isn't original and "different" anymore, so now Devs havve to get more and more creative to set the games apart. This is where ARK sort of shines. You start off without anything - not a healing vial, level 1 weapon or anything. It's a bold move that most of the other open world games don't do, but it's an interesting touch, especially since you find out right away just how easy it is to die when you don;t have armor or real weapons. You'll start the first portion of your adventure grinding the environment to build up your character enough just to survive one night.

This is also where the problem with this game begins. Your character's progression doesn't follow you so whenever you move to another server youu have to start the long boring awful grind all over again. Why would you want to hop servers to begin with? Because once your server gets invaded with too many people the game becomes bloated with PvP and essentially ruins the very drive you had of wanting to play the game.

But hey, this obviously is just my impression so you can take it or leave it, but personally I give the game a 5.5/10. Save the money or wait for a hefty sale.

I felt compelled to write a review for this game. Unfortunately it's not going to be a pleasant one.

This game was clearly released unfinished. It more than lacks in several areas that should have been polished before relase - here are the most glaring:

1) The biggest glaring issue: No partying with friends unless it's a private unranked game. This wouldn;t be so bad if the game wasn't fun only when you had a full party of 5 playing unranked, otherwise it's a boring mess. In the ranked games you are paired with complete randoms all of whom play with a Call of Duty sense of mind that they can solo the world and not bother lifting a finger trying to save a teammate. I have died countless times sacrificing myself to save a teammate or throw myself in the way of a killer and blind him only to havve myself get in a pinch later and everyone scattering to the wind.
2) No in-game chat. You might say this one was done on purpose, but when the game has a MAJOR cripple as stated in point #1 this is a necessity. They could have at least done it creatively - in-game walkie talkies that give off a noise range that the killer can here when he's close - easy to implement and effective until they fix the multiplayer partying.
3) Completely broken lobbying. This is probably one of the most frustrating issues with this game. You will spend a good few minutes just trying to get the game to ALLOW YOU TO PLAY. You click on 'Find a lobby' and the game responds with 'Failed'. Rinse and repeat a few times and then the game starts to act like it's loading to a lobby and then... you're mysteriously backk at the 'Find a lobby' screen? Click on 'Find a lobby' again and you might finally get taken in to a game with players! Everyone clicks on ready... game countdown has begun... grip your seats for a fun ride... WAIT, LOBBY CRASHED! Yeah, do that three or four times in a row and your patience for this game will have been destroyed.

It's unfortunate that this game is plagued with so many issues. It seriously is a fun game and it shines when everything works the way it's supposed to and you don't get stuck with brain-dead teammates. Unfortunately though it seems like the Developers heard that the Friday the 13th game was fundraised and decided to make a mad dash to release this - bugs and all.

Final Verdict: 4/10 with the potential of a 7/10 game. Wait for it to be patched or go on a heavy sale before wasting your well earned money.

(UPDATE: 7/24/2016)
So they released the new update to allow team survivor grouping. While it does make the game slightly better - the glitches this game has are simply too numerous.

If you have a group less than 4 prepare to maybe play 1 game every 20 tries, because apparently it's too hard for this game to find a working lobby. Think it might be beter with people? Nope! It works once in every 10~15 tries.

As far as the match making goes - can someone please explain to me the point of ranks? Our group is a mix of 18~20 ranks and we are facing killers that are rank 1? The perks will make it completely one sided that it's boring.

I have to rate this an abysmal 3/10 now. It has dropped a point due to the fact that two major patches have been released since I first rated this and neither improved on their incomplete design.
