Dipped into AC7 with a mild interest in aircraft and decent experience in Warthunder, the single player experience picked me up and blew me away. The missions bring good variety and a strong narrative with some admittedly medicore voice acting. Flying feels as epic as it should, the fights are dramatic and flying through clouds has never looked this cool.

The Ace pilot challenges and aircraft/weapons unlock tree bring great replayability, a game that only feels cooler as you get better playing it.

For the sale price AC7 is an absolute no brainer. I advise you [pull up] [pull up] and dive in to this wicked franchise and join the hype train for Ace Combat 8!

Initially released in early access as 'Balsa Model Flight Simulator', the game had a decent set of plane building mechanics, a vast selection of campaign missions which increased in difficulty and a community of active players who were enjoying building various craft. I was excited to see the game renamed, to see that the developer was keen to make big moves and progress the game, however what I found after the change was upsetting. The developer had stripped all those campaign missions out, leaving the same map, physics and crafting but with very little objective.

Since soon after that point it seems the developer has gone quiet with fans of the game left in the dark. Sadly seems like we'll have to put this one in the scrap pile along with KSP2. Sad times.

Incredibly cute characters, decent gameplay and charming graphics.

However

Most cosmetics are locked behind lootbox eggs and microtransactions which puts a very sour taste on what would otherwise be a fun cheap party game. They've really missed a trick here!

Early Access Review
Was excited to try this game, a top down fun F1 racer with pit stops and strategy but it's really missed a trick. The drive assist means you can drive at full pace without touching the steering, there's no need to brake so the ERS doesn't recharge and wearing your tyres has no impact on your grip, it just limits your throttle! Same goes for dry tyres in the wet, you can no longer gain speed on the straights, just have to wait until you arrive at the pits.

The realism of one-shot kills without the mil-slim slog of long walks back to the fight. Quick action and immersive combat, a refined Red Orchestra experience!

9 Hours in and Elden Ring is proving to be a perfect next step up from the Dark Souls Series. The world feels vast but full of character.

Do not fear, the game is NOT easy, ER is rammed with tough opponents and mean areas but with checkpoints kind to the player you won't be grinding through the same run of enemies over and over just to get to a boss room. Your horse companion Torrent allows you to bypass some enemies and some areas are certainly designed for you to do this.

The enemies are varied and plentiful, in one hour of Elden Ring you will experience several hours of Dark Souls excitement and discovery. The combat and loot is as solid as ever, the characters mysterious and a magical world that will keep you playing for hours on end.

A few odd UI decisions and lack of information regarding purchasing parts and a number of freemium components not expected from a paid game sit in front of a fantastic balance of arcade controls with pretty graphics, great sounds and authentic driving style.

You can play the 'paid/dlc' tracks on multiplayer which is where you'll be spending most of your time. It can be fun to grind money with the 'Ultimate' tuned cars but the 'Drift' setup gives a great chilled speed perfect for tandem driving. Lots of quick and easy server options make online driving fun for anyone with extremely quick easy to set up online battles.

Great chill out game for any drift fan.

If anything about hunting massive fantasy monsters sounds appealing to you, buy it!

MHW is bursting with charm, the world feels alive and the monsters alarmingly real. The zones seem to live on around you with small monsters getting caught in the fight and when two large monsters clash it's a true spectacle you can either use to recover and watch or get involved for extra damage. Even without the DLC there's a LOT of game here, nearing 50 hours in and have completed the story but there's so much more left to enjoy in the late game. The number of players with much higher rankings goes to show how much more this game has to give.

So far the game has me fully hooked. The start grips hard and throws the atmosphere of this game hard into your face, you're set on a few A to B missions which have only a couple routes in between. You'll be sold at the start but as you start to reach the end of the first area you may start to feel a little lost with the game, It feels like you've seen most of the mechanics and a creeping chore feeling starts to build.

Do not be mistaken.

Act 3 begins and you soon find that now you are put to work. Your inventory and abilities grow but the map is more complex, there's more obstacles to navigate and you start to make some serious risk reward decisions. There'll be extra items and tools you want to throw on your back but you know it will slow you down, and if you get in trouble on the way you may have to abandon your stockpile in a rush.

The world feels like it lives around you, the map so far has been nothing but beautiful and other player's constructions pump the game with life and a sense of community. There's a real excitement to planning your own little missions on the way, bringing extra materials to build a bride or road, improving your efficiency for the next run along with the other members who'll be more than thankful for it.

The story is a little minimalist but what's there is powerful, characters are classic Kojima and are offered in plentiful doses. I have seen wild cutscenes and some surreal action sequences I couldn't even begin to explain. Death Stranding does NOT hold your hand, but it won't kick you too hard while you're down.

If beautiful scenery, playing at a relaxed pace with bursts of excitement and being fully submerged in Kojima's wonderful mind sounds like you kind of thing, do not hesitate to buy this game.

I am terrified and excited for what lies ahead.

Real time strategy at it's absolute finest.

A great challenge in either solo or coop modes with brutal pvp multiplayer. Everything feels just right, easy to pick up and a slick interface allows you to concentrate on fighting the enemy, with the potential for immense strategy and smart outplays.

If you're at all interested in the RTS genre, have this in your library.
