It's fantastic, I strongly recommend it.

The vast majority of people I have played with (largely randoms through open crew but also the SoT discord) are extremely friendly and fun to play with. I've had so many great and memorable adventures with total strangers that I'm honestly in awe.

The gameplay is great! I've seen some reviews complain about the lack of content however I would disagree; the mechanisms in the game facilitate many opportunities for complex personal journeys which span beyond simply finding treasure and selling it. The best part of the game is in fact the journey you go on and the hurdles you face to meet your goal.

It's these "hurdles" that you face on your journey which provide such memorable experiences. They come in the form of environmental hazards and other players, and both forms are fantastic. The PvP in particular has an extremely high skill ceiling and provides the core experience of the game. Yes, it can be extremely annoying to lose hours of work to more experienced pirates, and I've been there. But as you grow experienced you learn to defend yourself and win flights, and being on the winning side reaping the rewards of a hard fought battle feels so rewarding because you have the conscience of what is like being in the losing side, of knowing that you may have just stolen loot that took hours for the enemy to gather. That may be the best part of the game.

a classic

Managed to win after about 6 hours, but I'm far from finished with this game. There's pleanty of mechs to unlock that compleatly change the strategies you use, and the 400IQ plays are super satisfying to pull off.
Has great thematic style & nice music.
No complaints, great game.

Never gets old
