So as someone with almost 1k hours in Snowrunner, going back to give Mudrunner a try was... A very mixed experience. On the one hand, the physics simulation of the trucks and the dirt and mud clinging to your truck are better than in Snowrunner, but on the other hand every single level in the game consists of the exact same objective, with the only change being slight restrictions on the equipment you get, such as crane attachments. This leads to the game starting to feel a little tedious once you've finished the first few maps.

That said though, I would, especially if you're a Snowrunner fan, recommend picking Mudrunner up and giving it a try, even if it's just to see the roots of where it's sequel came from.

The Vanishing of Ethan Carter is a extremely beautiful walking sim with a interesting story and gorgeous visuals, the handpainted skyboxes especially stood out to me.

You play as a psychic detective and throughout the game have to solve murders by using your powers and trying to piece together the order that events happened in, and by doing so uncover more of the larger story being told as you travel the environment.

That being said I would heavily recommend that you play the Redux version over the original, it's free when you buy the game and unreal 4 really makes the game look better, but the biggest change is near the end, where in the original you would be forced to backtrack the entire map if you missed something, the redux version offers the ability to fast travel once you reach the point you need to find everything, which solves a large point of frustration with the original game.

Review Updated following the new update!

Ratshaker is a short, VHS styled horror game (Though you can disable the VHS filter if it messes with your eyes) where the main mechanics all tie into the titular Rat himself, where you must shake, squeeze and occasionally smooch your little rodent friend to progress. The Rat himself has VERY solid voice acting and his voice never really overstayed it's welcome for me, though if he repeats too many lines I can see him getting a little grating (hah).

It's a short game only taking roughly an hour to play through but is very much worth it, especially now that the ending sequence of the game has been massively updated, and what used to only be a roughly 4 room basement section has been extended to be roughly half of the playtime, introducing new scares and ending visuals.

Definitely worth a playthrough, or like me 4.
