Huge congrats to Hello Games for their dedication to No Man's Sky releases over the years.

It shares the same core DNA with the original release, but the game and its systems are fleshed out to a far deeper level. The game may not be for everyone, but it's got so much to do that it still draws my attention when I see new content coming out regularly.

My recommendation is if it's your first time playing, just play the parts you enjoy. You don't have to rush to complete the story or experience all content, just do what you like. When you're ready to move along, do it. However, it's far less punishing now that you can retain portals to your bases, so it can definitely be played as a chill game with or without friends.

Give it a shot!

A neat take on a "time travel detective" style puzzle game with a pretty good soundtrack!

Worth your time if you like that sort of thing, but stumbles on "gamey" elements preventing unsupported creative solutions. Despite that, I wasn't frustrated most of the time and did end up finishing the game.

The finale is lackluster and appears to be rushed unfortunately, but I did enjoy most everything else.

Early Access Review
Really simple and really fun. Still early in early access, but it's 100% playable/enjoyable.

Boiled down, it's a roguelite hordemode where you spawn bullethell depending on what dynamic loadouts you choose.

If you liked the first, this is not as good, but it's still high quality and you'll probably still enjoy it. Nothing brand new though.

100%'d it in ~15 hrs.

Fun puzzle game with pretty unique mechanics. Obviously inspired by Stephen's Sausage Roll, but more accessible.

If you like puzzles, or abstract thinking, absolutely play this. It takes a little time to absorb what possible craziness you will encounter (in order to flip it to use in your favor), but a very solid puzzle game. Don't expect anything Portal-like though. There's no story, and it really messes with your head (in a good way).

It took about 7 hours to get to the 'end' for me, with a few remaining puzzles still escaping my grasp -- mostly because I can't even figure out what the puzzle is =P
