Owned this before it was delisted. Had a whole shelf full of games that were mine to play. Now I only have one copy of shining force and nothing else to play. Now I can't request a refund for a game 'bundle' with only one game.

Darktide is a great game.

There are many things to enjoy
  • Combat is tense, satisfying, and layered with mechanics that reward player knowledge, adaptability, and skill.
  • 4 classes with extensive build and weapon variety allow for you to find a style of play that suits your interests.
  • Missions are designed for replayability, allowing you to improve with every run. Achievements are available to complete.
  • World building is excellent. Character personalities and world design pair wonderfully with 40k's universe and setting.
  • All of this tied together under the rhythmic sounds of a phenomenal, adrenaline-inducing soundtrack by Jesper Kyd.
A great game however, is not without its faults.
  • Some players have reported their sessions crashing, but it's one I've never experienced.
  • Quality-of-life improvements that should be in vanilla, can be found with easy-to-install mods. (Developers support it)
  • Finally, premium cosmetics are priced far too high for their own good. A $40 game shouldn't charge $10+ for one outfit.

Issues aside, Fatshark has crafted an experience that continues to entertain on many levels. Highly recommended.

A unique collection. I was expecting a good narrative, but recieved so much more instead. Even if you only play this game once, please consider taking the time to witness a deep examination of how creativity, passion, and work can be presented in the mind of a human. Rather short, but just enough to send out a compelling message. Highly recommended 10/10

Firewatch. Where to begin?

Panic Inc. and Campo Santo deliver a first person, narritive-driven story that'll grip you within the first 10-15 minutes of gameplay. You play as Henry, a witty, relateable, and charming man in his late thirties who works as a fire lookout in the Shoshone national forest in the sun-baked state of Wyoming. Like many, Henry leads a life that he feels he needs to escape; A life many actually find themselves facing everyday.. Henry soon comes into contact with Delilah, his boss and trusted companion. After what appears to be an easy summer gig, the duo is unexpectedly thrown into an unusal and paranoia-inducing mystery that'll keep you hooked...

Gameplay is simple, straight-forward and easy to pickup. It may take one some time to find out how to navigate the lush landscape, but with just a few minutes of playtime, you'll be just fine. Henry can pickup objects, inspect them, and even engage in entertaining dialouge with Delilah about ongoing events.

Firewatch is beautiful. WIth a unique art style some would find similar to Team Fortress 2; Firewatch easily delivers stunning color pallets, jaw-dropping contrast, and complimentary colors many triple A games even hope to achieve. Campo Santo knows this, and they push it to its full extent. Hot colors for daytime and sunsets, and colder, more relaxed colors for night. Bright orange canyon rocks compliment clear blue skies perfectly in a way that simply made me stop and admire the hard work put into it. You could take a screenshot anywhere and it would fit perfectly on any desktop. Godrays coming through tree leaves as I hike alongside a small, flowing creek gave me a sense of gaming euphoria that graphics have never done before.

The story is on a different note however. Firewatch does an amazing job at pulling you in with conversations voiced perfectly by Rich Sommer and Cissy Jones; Firewatch's main leads. Chris Remo's soundtrack creates a sense of peace and the thrill of being alone in the woods. It plays at just the right time, adding more to the games sense of progression throughout the narrative. Sadly some things are too good to be true. As if reeling in the biggest fish in it's life, Firewatch does an amazing job with the hook, but the line snaps as soon as the prize is at hand; Leaving the player with a rather anti-climax feel towards the game's final 15 minutes. You're left with a feeling of sadness (dissapointment being too strong of a word to use) at how the game could've had the great, awe-inspiring ending that you wished for. That is unless you really enjoy the ending; For which if you do, even better!

Overall Firewatch, is a beautifully crafted, character-driven narrative that left me with overall great memories. Some mostly enjoying the engaging dialogue while hiking through the gorgeous world Campo Santo has made. Replayability may be low for some as the ending was not quite what they have expected, but that doesn't mean that this is not a good game. Please do not think that. I myself wanted more from the 4-5 hour journey, but as I look back on it, I found myself enjoying a game that truly filled me with a gaming passion I had once thought long lost. Even though 20$ sounds like a good chunk of money, know this. Firewatch is a game that you should not look over. If you don't want to spend money now, wait till a sale, but please, don't pass this down. I loved it and see myself going through it again soon enough.

I honestly wasn't expecting much when I first began playing, but when I finally began exploring with friends, the fun was like never before. Unlike minecraft, you feel a great sense of character progression the more you play. With unique and interesting items, the combat with almost never feel dull and crafting new items is quick and easy. I enjoyed it greatly thanks to the experience with friends I had every night. Well worth the ten bucks! 9/10

Fun way to spend an hour or two on a boring night. Comes with interesting items for Team Fortress 2 as well. No multiplayer sadly, so its just going to be you and four A.I.s playing poker.

With music only on specific parts of the game, Half Life 2 captures the feel of truly feeling alone when you don't have a partner by your side. With a compelling story that goes hand in hand with gameplay, Half Life 2 truly delivers a sci-fi shooter experience unlike any other.
