Good game but rly dead, which is sad for a game like this

If you have used arma 3 zeus and want to test this out don't!, The gamemaster is so terrible. It is not user friendly like arma 3s. Takes a lot more time to place things, move things, can't copy and paste assets. Can't set up battle and play since its all a live battle meaning once you place a soldier or something it will start attacking on spot. The menus get in the way and suck, take super long to find something, half the time the menu defaults and you have to refind that asset. Mods are from in game so no more steam workshop, hard to even know if mods are being loaded to the world. Why did you move away from a user friendly experience that arma 3 once had? Isn't fun for the people who like to set things up.

Not a good game, no good updates. Squad 44 is wayyyyy better in every aspect

Gameplay
I love how Squad plays. its like Battlefield + Arma like in between. Not so much Milsim but not so arcady. Its perfect for me, just jump in and enjoy. Playing armor is a really fun thing for me, legit love gunning and driving. I also enjoy infantry, its not as bad as when ICO released. They have tuned it a lot since then so gunplay is more enjoyable now.

Teamwork
Teamwork varies from server to server. Some days teammates can be very dumb and squad leading making dumb decisions and little communication. But overall I do not see that as much, maybe like 20% of the time, so it does happen but not as much in my experience. The servers I do play in have good communication and team play. Everything is coordinated when mics are used.

Performance
2070S 5600X 16GB RAM @1440P my performance is fine 80+ at max settings.
I agree it can be better but its really fine for this old setup.

In UE5 my build stilll holds up around 80+ on high settings. New tech needs new hardware for those who are still rocking old GPU's so its not gonna work with 3gb of Vram lol, But I really thought performance was gonna be terrible but my experience play testing these early builds have been great.

Updates/Content
Updates were every month with large content updates every few months, but have slowed down since UE5 is being worked on. Which is a major thing I am fine with since the devs will get access to new tools and tech to give up even more higher quality content faster. So worth the wait. Squad also has some popular mods like the Star Wars mod that feel like its a whole new game.

Conclustion
Squad is 100% worth getting, I have enjoyed it so much. Every match is different, you will never see the same thing. The funny moments to the scary ones where an MBT roles up on your vehicle. There's just so much unique things about this game you will not find anywhere else. The goods overpower the bads in Squad.
