Short Version: This game is awesome and a lot of fun, I've had friends and family who typically don't play action or shooter games play it and buy it, as a result of the fun factor.

There are two outstanding reasons why people who own this game have hundreds of hours playing it.
1.) Mods
2.) Multiplayer
2.5) Mods + Multiplayer

Single player is good and fun for playing it through once. Playing through native singleplayer twice can get a bit tedious. But playing the game through once will get you 60-90 hours of gameplay and honestly once you spend 60 hours on anything for $20 bucks or less makes any game worth the price, imho. So I can recommend the game solely based on Singleplayer... the feature which I actually think is the weakest part of the game.

What if you want to play singleplayer some more? Get a mod, there is a lot and they really diversify the gaming experience. You can get Japan themed ninja's and samari or fanatasy themed wizards and elves. There is a lot out there and most of them are even better than the native game. Which can easily add another 200-300 hours of gameplay.

But what I really know and love is Multiplayer... Sieges, Team Deathmatches, Duels, Battles (I'm really not into battles but they are very popular) most of my 700+ hours playing is in multiplayer and I haven't even downloaded some of the cool multiplayer mods like Full invasion or Napoleon. (I'm really thinking of downloading Full invasion but I'm kinda waiting for Bannerlord).

If you're barely entertaining the idea of buying this game... just stop, buy the game. Your barest of vague interests will be well rewarded.
