My all time favorite comes in a even better shape on ZODIAC AGE. Everything here is absolutely amazing: world design, soundtrack, gameplay systems like the unique mix of turn based combat with ARPG elements and gambits, bosses, etc. I find the story quite boring but not to a point where it becomes a turn off, its just not that engaging for me, mostly because of some characters. I do appreciate the political aspect of it though. Just a very well done RPG with unique systems that works, I love it!

Best metroidvania I've played in years, really brought me back to SoTN, DoS. The game has a very decent length and the skills are just a blast. The grind is also there if you want to, but not necessarily needed.

No free upgrade, nor the option to buy the definitive edition as a DLC.
