Development is progressing along nicely and they seem to fix issues over time. Combat's got more depth to it in moment-to-moment gameplay than the Vermintide 2 combat with the improved ranged enemy AI attacking in sync with melee fighters, and emphasis on tertiary weapon moves is huge.

Needs more character archetypes to reflect the large number of options Vermintide 2 included, and decisions like separating inventory from characters is questionable, but it's a fantastic joy to play.

Went to a store, found a Kar-98K
Picked it up and accurately function-tested the three-position safety and convinced the store owner I was competent and familiar with the gun by how I adjusted the range and handled it.

I have only ever held it in H3VR prior.

grenade launcher is the only viable weapon, trust me

This game is great! But, like any first game, it has some flaws.
1: The gameplay is great, fun, exciting, and fast, but on multiplayer it can be very, very laggy.
2: If you have a game setup with friends, it might not be laggy, but without Steam invites and a Private hosting, it can be impossible to group up effectively.
3: The extra skins/robes and the level of customizability is flawed in how long it can last (since you die so much), but this is leveled off by the versatility of the spells and that this puts a priority on experimenting with spells.
All in all, this is a great buy for such a little cost. Try it out! You may enjoy it's humor and quick wordplay, but be careful if you don't enjoy linear gaming. Also, around chapters 10+, playing alone is near impossible, so think about that!
