Sadly, even though I got this game gifted for free. I will have to give it a negative review.


Upon installing the game I crashed before even loading into the main menu screen. After some investigating I found out the steam overlay was causing trouble, disabled it.. and boom it works..

I notice my video settings not being right, (1920x1080p instead of 2560x1440p) and upon trying to swap to my native resolution. Crash, same error message as I had with the steam overlay.

Tried for a while to fix it by looking online to see if any other people experienced the issue, tried various methods with nothing aiding me in my quest to play on native. A damn pity.



For the love of god, bethesda. I don't know how they haven't gone back to fix this issue in all this time.

Whilst not as good as the base game in my opinion, this is still an awesome experience.

If you enjoyed subnautica, pick this one up for sure.

Stop looking at the reviews and get this game already.

This game brings out the worst in me, I don't know why I keep returning.

Pretty solid storygame regardless of what critics like IGN say, get this on sale. Definitely worth a playthrough IMO

But in all seriousness if you're thinking about getting this game, you totally should.
It's a total blast + the developers are really nice people who are out to give you an enjoyable experience, not draining your wallets.

The "premium battle pass" in this game can be bought with ingame currency that can be collected.
And the passes/warbonds don't expire. So there's no pressure in time for any players that may have a busy life.


This game is a solid 9/10 from launch. Outclassing most if not all triple A games currently on the market in my books. So much potential laying around here.

Bought this game after update 2.0. Finishing up side quests before doing the last main story mission. Game has been very fun, experimenting with different builds.
