I'm not too into metroidvania game, but i was satisfied with this game.
the basic gameplay is simple, if you already play several metroidvania game you should know what to do or how movement attacking work.
nothing really major groundbreaking for that department. just simple ol'classic metroidvania game.

Difficulty is bit subjective but this game indeed a souls-like game so you can expect hard difficulty but not too hard to the point unbeatable, you just need to memorize the pattern and know what your arsenal is.

the story without spoiling it pretty immersing for me, you know the story bit by bit and it never stated outright what really happen.
You know the main plot from notes and memoir and you piece it together kinda like souls-like but not too tedious.
Each character backstory also pretty fun for me.

The music is also phenomenal and fit for the game, the soft sad ambiance in desolated city or bit howling in middle of the forest. it get the job done, makes me allured to the world.

It's pretty fun game with good story and solid gameplay i rate it 8.5/10

I gotta say i enjoyed this entry and it's entered my top 3 tales game.

I finish it around 73 hour-ish with moderate difficulty and cleared most the sub-quest.
For the story is quite solid but without spoiler it kinda down a bit in second half. but i do very satisfied how they make the party interaction and their progression as the party journey through, accepting each other and from someone to comrade and almost like it's a family.
For battle i freaking love it. it's fun and engaging. Battle for the most part you fill up some kind break gauge and when it full you can unleash combo attack. A bit let down you only can make strategy when or in what kind of situation your party use buff and item. you can't control your party member to attack which enemy or when to attack that enemy, everyone aside character you playing as is AI based controlled.
Soundtrack is subjective one but for the most part i enjoyed it.

Overall this game is must buy if you are tales fan, if you a new guy want to try tales series or Action JRPG in general this game is great too.
I rate it 8.8/10

It's YS what do you expect
For me all of YS game is great, each is re-telling adventure log of Red Haired Adventurer. each log is different but everything is great on it's own.
Many jokes and reference to past game that make me smile in this game, if you play past game you should notice it too.
My major disappointment is Aprillis not playable.
If you YS fan or want to play hack & slash JRPG you should play it. It's worth your time.
Also many people point the graphics rather lack well no comment on that department but who the hell play YS for over realism graphics anyway, gameplay and story what's matter in YS for me

What else i can say?

Very faithful Remake of HM: Friends of Mineral Town/ HM: Back to Nature
It gives nostalgia feeling yet fresh experience
9/10 for me

Buy it, you will not regret it

This game is not for everyone, but if you like the previous entry (like i do) this game is great.
If you're new player, well you need a certain taste to fully enjoy this game. Still a good game though.
Far from perfect but it's a good game.
