A quaint chill-out game. Worthwhile going around and picking up all the random items since they unlock more people to talk to. Despite usually only having a couple things to say, the side-characters are often effective at conveying commentary without being incredibly ham-fisted about it. I also got a lot of enjoyment speed-boosting into things at odd angles because it makes you pop-off wildly in different directions. The aesthetic is fantastic, everything is neon and upbeat but it retains the gloomy cyberpunk vibe no matter where you are.

become a communist cop and bumble your way to solving the mystery using critical thinking and drugs, mostly drugs.

i consider all other playthroughs non-canon, no i am not willing to discuss.

Mechanically this game doesn't do a whole lot of new things, but aesthetically, my god this game is beautiful.

Gameplay is fun, story is interesting, aesthetic is good.

Making this review as of finishing the game for the first time at just over 6 hours gameplay, and just for futureproofing of a joke this review was written shortly after Cyberpunk 2077 had been delayed for umpteenth time.

Visually, this game is beautiful, and the soundtrack is an absolute banger and it works perfectly with the gameplay to the point where sometimes it felt like I was playing a rhythm game.

The story is, well, predictable. If you've played / watched Sci-fi or Cyberpunk stuff before you can immediately guess where its going.

The gameplay is fantastic, there are some minor difficulties like sometimes the direction you're facing will cause you to fall off of a wall mid-run. But the combat is where the game shines, it just feels good. Each encounter is tailored to be tackled in different ways, there is no "one size fits all" solution to the encounters. I described it to a friend as "You look at the levels like you would in Hotline Miami, but through the scope of a high chaos Dishonored run".

In terms of replay-ability, its definitely there, I intend to go back and 100% it but I think a player more competent than I could probably 100% the game in under 20 hours.

In short, if have the money to spare and you wanna have a good ol' Cyberpunk themed slaughterfest then this is it, but if you're coming at this game thinking "this will last me till 2077!" you might be a little disappointed.

Playing as a skeleton has granted me clarity.
At first you think, naw all these living creatures hate me, this sucks. You live with a bucket on your head in shame.
But no, its the living who are wrong, impure. They die to a thing as measly as poison.

Meanwhile im bathing in slime, my bones shining pure and resplendent.
But Chad Thunderkok tries to get in the way of my ceremonious bone bleaching, gets the jump on me.
Unfortunately for him, I always keep a trusty barrel of deathfog somewhere inbetween my lower ribs, he dies instantly.
How weak the mortal races are, dying to something as measly as a cloud of pure death.

Well, no use letting his face go to waste.

Stand aside Minecraft, theres a new sheriff in town, and his name is CastleMiner Z.
This game reaches beyond all levels of greatness, infact, one might say it is "horrifically good".

Lets go over the key features of the game. Like any good zombie survival game, you start off in the middle of absolute nowhere, with only the task to survive at hand. You steadily find ores that take several hours to mine just so you can compact and smelt them into pure metal bars with your sheer force of will, from these metal bars, you can create any gun imaginable if your only prior experience with guns is Call Of Duty. You'll steadily work your way through the ranks of guns, starting out with a simple metal gun and working your way up to a gun made of pure diamonds and gold. Then if your feeling daring enough you can venture outside of your mancave into the far lands just outside your door and face the multiple dragons which definitely arent textures stolen from World of Warcraft despite looking just like your average black dragon flight. After fighting the constant onslaught of dragons you can fend of the Alien Invaders which for some reason desire the zombie infested paradise you reside in, and you can spend what feels like an eternity just trying to kill one before his buddy shanks you from behind killing you instantly.

Theres not really much more to say, as the game was so good I had to stop playing just incase I had a heart attack at how obviously better this game is than leading competitors such as Minecraft, DayZ and every other totally original Minecraft clones out there.

In conclusion, I would give this game a solid 1/10 and a sticker for attempting to try at attempting to create a game.
