Review Showcase
I have no idea where to begin when writing this review. Out of the last 48 hours, I have used 27 of them to play through this game twice, choosing a different path both times. That is where the glory of this game lies. For example, I played the first mission, thought it was pretty cool, then I saw the flowchart at the end. The flowchart showed me all of the possibilities and outcomes of the mission. There were 6 different outcomes for the first mission alone.

On my first playthrough, I was making the choices I wanted to make without thinking of the consequences, The story ended the way it did, but only because I made it happen. That's what really makes this game shine bright. Most games that have a "choose your own adventure" aspect to them usually have something else associated that makes the choices not as important. With Detroit: Become Human, however, every single choice you make has an effect on the story, whether it is immediate or not.

Now I can talk about the story. How incredible it was. Without giving any spoilers, I can say that this is the best story in a video game that I have ever seen. While comparable to an interactive movie, I feel like it is immensely more impactful than that. Within a couple hours of my first playthrough, I was already saying that this is the best game I have ever played. And it seriously is.

The character development is, to put it lightly, simply incredible. Each character has its own path that can change depending on how you play. Each character can be played a different way each time you play the game, which is wonderful for replayability.

Replayability. That's a word that gets tossed around in singleplayer games all the time. Most of the time, once you finish the story, that's it. Unless you're a completionist, or the game was great, you most likely won't want to replay it. Detroit: Become Human is the complete opposite. This game has so many different paths and actions that you are seriously missing out if you only play through this game once, There are so many different ways to play that replaying the game is a must. On my second playthrough, I played with two of my best friends(streamed over discord). Going into it, I already knew which paths I was trying to play. It made for an incredible experience and left us speechless at the end.

I knew nothing about this game when I bought it. I never watched any videos, never read any reviews, I just heard that it was a good game. And let me say, that is the best decision I ever made. Knowing absolutely nothing going into a game this intense was a breathtaking experience unlike no other before. I usually don't even like highly regarded single player games, such as the Witcher Series and Elder Scrolls, but this was different, I felt like I wasn't alone when I played this, It is simply an incredible game.

If you've made it this far into the review, I'm impressed. I've been spewing my ideas all over while I write this, making it probably incoherent and odd to read, but this is where it counts. I seriously CANNOT recommend this game enough. From the story to the interactivity, everything is simply incredible. Yes, quick time events can be bad at times, but it is completely worth it. Yes, sometimes the character movement is weird, but it's solved in seconds if something weird happens. Those are my only negative things to say about this game.

Thanks for reading, and please play this game.
