A slightly sophisticated upgrade of the near-perfect DOOM 2016 reboot. Pure adrenaline.

Less groundbreaking than the original but this is the most modern, highest quality Dark Souls experience.

My nominee for the “I'M NOT CRYING, THERE'S SOMETHING IN MY EYE” AWARD

I never cry, personally, but if I did, I might have when I came to the end of MGS5 and realized that the immaculate gameplay and presentation had been totally squandered on this bland, generic experience. This game has none of the practically incoherent but strangely compelling storytelling that has powered Kojima's games in the past. Sad!

Good game but an unconscionable waste of potential.

Walk around mostly empty environments while an annoying, self-important narrator lectures you.

Maybe this genre isn't for me. Repetitive gameplay broken up by clunky dialogue and a nonsensical story. The constant leveling up and down of weaponry is a major annoyance. I'm impressed that one guy made everything in the game, but it's not much fun to play.
