Resident Evil 4 Remake is an excellent game. This review is negative because of the update that capcom release just a few days ago.

Capcom removed the Denuvo DRM and replaced it with a different one. Since then, many users, including myself have experienced a major loss in performance and stability compared to the previous update.
I went from 150+ FPS on maximum settings at 1440 x 3440 to 90-100, in addition im experiencing constant stuttering.

This update is completely pointless, they needed to remove denuvo so they dont need to pay them, but they could have just removed DRM entirely. the game has long since been cracked and is already available on many piracy sites.

They are making the experience for many users worse for essentially 0 benefit.

P.S, I know not every user is experiencing this performance issue, or is experiencing it to varying degrees. This does not invalidate the users who ARE experiencing these issues.

Let me preface by saying i very much enjoyed the first 4 F2F games, its quickly become one of my favourite indie series.

This is why im so split on the 5th episode. like 4 its significantly more expensive than the first 3, over twice the price of 2 & 3.
This by itself isnt really an issue, but unlike 4 i really feel like this game didnt meet the expectations that price tag sets.
This game feels like such a regression from 4, which is a massive disappointment after the incremental improvements we saw over the series. The gameplay and scares are repetitive, and feels like it retreads a lot of the last few games.

Obviously i ended up refunding the game, i didnt feel it was worth the price. I do still really enjoy this style of game, and I hope rayll is able to get out of this funk and be a bit more ambitious with the next. (or at least lower the price to match the length and quality)

Best clicker/idle game of all time. its legitimately engaging and fun, and its got an insane amount of content. Game has a charming sense of humour
