I remember playing the Harvest Moon games when I was little... And I really didn't like them. They bored the crap out of me to be honest. Though I don't remember entirely why, and I only remember the fact that I played them, and not what they were like, I assumed that because of that, I wouldn't really care for Stardew Valley. I was very wrong. There's so much to do, and yet there isn't really anything that you HAVE to do, which is awesome! You're given goals, but there's not really pressure to do them immediately. The only time constraints in the game are things on the Help Wanted board, and the visit from Grandpa, and even those aren't mandatory. I love this game because the motivation for completing things comes from what you want to do. Because of that, I want to do everything. I wanted to get to know everyone, I wanted to get to the bottom of the mines. I didn't really care to make all of my money from crops, and I didn't have to! There's still so much more to do, and I look forward to all of it.
