Combat is all about spamming buttons and there is no meaningful progression.

Story is OK typical JRPG plot.

Game looks really good, but I just don't like the base of it. Hope they remake more games like this (Chrono Trigger, FF6, and Xenogears).

Amazing game. Very challenging but not punishing. Upgrades aren't required but they're rewarding.
