After another 50 hours gameplay:

So i will change my review to positive as the AH team is really trying to fix things up and some fixes have been visible.

The game is becoming more stable and more fun as time passes and 70% of the time we had fun playing it, but i will drop this list of encountered glitches/bugs during my game time with my friends.

- Even though connectivity has improved at random times joining friends via in game friend list is at best wonky, as a quick fix we have figured out that it works best joining via steam friend list.

- Joining teams outside friend list or via quick play is still not completely functional, for me it worked maybe 1 in 30-40 tries personally.

- Random hard crash to desktop still occur from various random reasons, but at a lower rate than 2 weeks ago. The reason this is frustrating is because we all loose game progress in hours real time because everyone crashes mission rewards are completely lost.

- During game mission deployments we have encountered graphical glitches where our character models got stuck in game world models such as: buildings, terrain, enemy large models. Only solution we have found it works is leaving/reconnecting.

- Upon character deaths some of our items that are dropped can never be picked up again because they are glitched in the terrain.

- Weird various graphical glitches where enemy models meshes get stretched out over the place of death.

- Getting stuck in ADS to the point where you see through your character model and no inputs work other than movement.

- This is not a glitch but more of a let down as i bought super credits from the store in order to support the developers but the superstore offered nothing new for quite a while now!

Some of the fixes are working while others still do not address the issue they where supposed to fix and there is still a question of the recurring bigger bugs that remain constantly throughout the game even today.

It is a good game and i consider it a success but it can become a great game if fixed properly.

Previous review:

The game while it works it is quite fun. Playing it with friends, random players or even solo to test various game features. However most of the time you waste hours waiting to connect to a server, and even if you manage to start the game and play that does not guarantee you will not get disconnected or get a hard crash. Wasting even more time trying to get back in. In 2024 to have a game sold out to over 4.000.000 people and have a server capacity of only 450.000 it sounds as bad as it is. I might change my review when AH respects the community that paid for their game by allowing us to play it!

My game play experience so far:

While playing this game 3 other previous games i played popped in my head, Freelancer which was a masterpiece at its time, Descent which was my first 3D space sim (all those tight corners :)) and a bit of No Man's Sky here and there.

The Pro's:
- Even tho an early access the graphics so far are smooth and quite amazing
- Ship control is very easy for both Controller users as well as Keyboard & Mouse (resembles Freelancer)
- Story even tho is comics style is quite entertaining here and there
- Sound is quite good
- Puzzle's keep you busy
- Combat is decent and you can always challenge yourself against tougher enemies
- Planet side flight also a nice addition

The Con's
- Not much of a con probably because of early access but space could use a bit more life (more space stations, traffic, etc)
- Could use a co-op mode

Not much of a review but for that price its a decent game. Hope they keep adding content to it because for an early access it is an amazing game, a job quite well done.

Well im a casual player and this is from my personal experience with this game. Overall not a bad game, worth doing 1 or 2 plays solo and/or with friends. Still needs ALLOT of work on many aspects and just hope is not going to become one of those games that lingers in "Early Access" phase until the end of time.

What to expect from the game:
- For its stage not bad graphics or mechanics, it is not a triple A game but still not bad
- Sound is pretty decent
- For a first time player is a nice game to burn some hours on
- Bugs personally i have not encountered many in my short play time
- All tho not the only "Survival" games out there has some interesting mechanics to it that is for sure
- Would i recommend it? well if you have that extra buck to spare sure.

Ill give it a 3 out of 5 (decent)
