Do not buy this game right now. Note i said Right Now. I am sure in the Future it will be better, plus eventually it will be Free-to-Play. Do not even get it to try it and then Refund it for the simple reason of you will NOT get to the worst parts of the game in 2 hours. If you are playing solo it MIGHT be ok, but in a party once you get to endgame you might aswell become a solo player. Endgame is not party friendly. There are TONS of creators that will tell you why the endgame is not good, and alot of them are playing Solo, so imagine the monsters scaled up. Not to mention they are Nerfing so many things that its insane. Armor isnt worth it if you get 1-shot no matter how much armor and resistance you have. If you play this and make it to endgame, not unlike most games there are builds that far outrank everyone and are fantastic, BUT unlike most games you NEED one of those builds to beat the Pinnacle bosses. Anyone that says "Oh im not using a meta build" have you looked it up too see if you actually aren't because just because you figured it out on your own, doesnt mean its not a meta build. It means you either got Lucky OR know what you are doing.

Anyone that is getting this game going "Oh they said it will be different from PoE 1" Its not, the only difference is the graphics are better, you can use WASD and there are new items, But those items are getting nerfed into the ground, The classes are super underbalanced, and if you want to play a Melee good lucking being in close range constantly with no matter how tanky you get you will get one shot by the later bosses.

The story is good, even up to cruel 3 is fun even in a party!! but ascending and endgame SUCKS, Ascending got easier the higher level and more health/Energy shield we had, But endgame will not be fun until they clean up whatever mess they have now. and yes i know they said they plan to do something about or get rid of it completely im not entirely sure. But for now unless you just want to do the story over and over and over and over again it just isnt fun

Honestly i am a bit mixed on this game. I love the Concept of the characters having abilities and the general game play loop of the game,but i think its needs so many QoL updates i wouldn't recommend it right now. My foremost complaint is honestly just that the characters abilities needs more of a UI update in a way.


Character Ability Problems
- Nyx's book is great, but when you use it and nothing happens you don't know if its because the input didn't go through or if nothing actually happened. I wish that something would pop up and say "Nothing Found".
- Eirene's Cards are really useful BUT they don't show you what they are until you use them, and so if you throw a card at your friend and they accidentally use it, it might be the Sun which is Super useful in a dark room OR it might be the hanged man and they get sent across the house in darkness, So something where you can turn the card over, go cool that is what it is, then idk throw it in the air or something for the hanged man to activate would be really nice.
- Zay is great, him and cupcake make a really good team, my only problem with them is that Cupcake likes to get stuck in a room if you have already found the cursed item and will keep going back to that room even if you take the item out of it completely, and yes i double and triple checked the room cupcake was pacing in, and even had a friend come look just incase i had missed it.It would be nice if Cupcake had a command of "Go put this outside" So that she could find the item, and you can either let Cupcake keep following you with it in your mouth, or tell her to go put it outside so that way you still have to go outside to get it, but now its outside so you don't have to worry about it for the moment.
- I didn't play Luther as i just did not find him very interesting,but my friend did. The cross takes a minute to activate which is ok, Unless you don't know the ghost is hunting until it is literally staring at you.

General UI Wishes
- A counter at the top for how many lights you can turn on before the breaker shuts off, or a sticky note somewhere that says it.
- A timer for how long the Generator has, i know it has a fuel gauge, but an actual timer would make it feel a bit better. Even if the timer is attached to the Generator itself.
- Something to tell us the Difference in Difficulties, Not knowing what the difference in normal to hard can be really annoying.

Accessibility
- Something to lessen the effect of Miasma, the way it currently effects your screen can be very sickening to people, especially when they aren't expecting it.


The Pros of this game
- Honestly it is really scary, i got a bit annoyed with the game itself due to the reasons i have stated, but this game is actually scared me.
- The Monsters are super unique from one another, so your actually having to remember them
- The Mini Ghosts are really interesting, Forgetting they can happen and a Mimic coming through is terrifying XD
- The abilities of each Character are actually really fun, and all are useful to the team.
- This game has a good sense of humor behind it, especially when you get in a Hearse to go to these houses.

Honestly the game is $10, get it, try it for 1 hour and 50 minutes, and then refund it if you don't like it. I do think it is way more fun with friends. I personally refunded it as in its current state, i do not find it super fun. I find it more Tedious then anything.

This game is Very Interesting, I was given several keys so that i may make content on it but i promise you, this is an honest review. This game has such a Fascinating concept! I am going to do my best to not spoil anything so that you may get in and see it for yourself.

There are times where you might just be confused or lost but that is honestly really fun to figure out in a puzzle game kinda like this one, If you do not enjoy being kinda lost then this might not be the game for you yet.My group and i only played for about an hour and had SO much fun. There are still some bugs in the game and some of them are really annoying but honestly the rest of the game is so fun it just added some humor to it while learning. If you have a group of friends who are goofy, this can be a really good horror game for you or even a group of friends who want to take every game seriously. If you are on the edge of getting it, get it, try it for an hour n a half and then refund it if you don't like it. If you stream on Twitch the game has integrated twitch connections, it isn't working at the moment but they are working on it. It is suppose to let your twitch chat vote on certain outcomes or something of the sort.

TLDR: Decent game, if you have 4 people, don't have problem gaming due to Medical Reasons, and Like Cosmetic Loot Boxes


I would put this as a Positive review, but i would like it to be seen and i ultimately did end up refunding the game due to these issues, but if none of these things bother you then get it and try it..

I should Specify here that I have D.I.M.S (Which is Doom Induced Motion Sickness) as well as Vertigo so certain things make my eyes go really funky and then i get sick and have to lay in the floor until the room isn't spinning anymore. So alot of My issues will be about this.

1). The Terminal Menu's, Specifically the Gene Tree, Font looks fuzzy. My bf,friend and i tried so many things to try to fix it but even after all of that it still did not look right.
2). The Void Jump Visuals have so many flashing lights that i could not look at them without wanting to throw up.
3).I know that alot of games gets ♥♥♥♥ on that they are too hand holdy, but this game really needs it.
4). It is not Friendly to Two Player Co-op, it is possible but felt way to stressful to be fun.
5). The Engineer Gene Tree 1st Class perk seems way to under powered, it would be nice i bet for bigger ships but going the EVA Person route, getting the Grappling Hook and then being able to just repair and go outside and hook the ship and repair it while it moves just seems way better.
6). The fact i have to set the Quality to Custom just to turn off Motion Blur is a little werid, i understand that it makes sense but was confusing to figure out at first
7). The Lights like to flicker when you turn your camera, no matter what the game quality you have it set on is.

I am a fan of this game after all of the updates, They have done a really good job with everything.

HOWEVER the new Watcher enemy hurts my eyes really REALLY bad, i have to get my friends to kill them or i have to kill them and then try not to throw up until the mission is over. I do not know how this can be fixed, but it is miserable.

If you play base building games...GET THIS IMMEDIATELY!!! while originally made for Rust, i just used it for Conan, and so while i didnt get to use some of the proper building items in here, i was able to substitute those with walls or half foundations and stairs so i get around the same number of items, and plus since in conan the walls are more expensive, it just means i have more materials leftover. BUT OMG, the fact i know how many things i need i can easily do the math for it in conan!! I made a Blueprint of someone elses Build on YT and was able to tell my clan how much we needed for this! absolutely worth the money!!! Thank you for this Beautiful game. There is a free version if you google it but come on its $5 Maximum with the Current 1 Dlc, and it gives you so many amazing features!!

Play the game, it is fun BUT DO NOT buy the battle pass unless you are playing the new class, since no where on the outfits that you get for buying the pass does it say that it is only for the new class. On every single other class specific outfit it says that it is only for this one or that one, but doesnt on them

Edit on 3/21/2022: this game got a big improvement with AI and its getting better,still needs work but they are doing it,if your fine with some bugs here and there grab it,it is fantastic,if not then just wait a bit. i am leaving my orginal review so that way you can see what my old opinion was ^-^ (Old Review)in the current state of the game i would not recommend it,because there is so many game breaking bugs that its hard to even play.i've tried to love this game and maybe its just me,but every time something happens to where priority messes up and then it breaks the game or they don't make food or they don't make coal or anything similar and it makes me so upset because even tho i have food set to top Priority and i have even tried taking every single person off everything else and maxing out food and they still don't do anything,i've tried finding the problem but nothing is working.

this game is really fun,BUT it does need work,especially if it wants to be a multiplayer game.It needs a way for a party system so that way people can ride the boat dude together so that way one doesnt get stuck on an island.another thing is the other way to break big rocks is with the coconut bombs and even then it just leaves big hills behind in their place.Would love to see a small terraforming system just to flatten land for stuff like that. Really excited to see this game develop but will probably not be playing more until it fixes a bit

Absolutley recomend this game, for a $1.00 it is incredibly fun and i can see alot of potential in this game,could it use some work,absolutly but it has just come out and i cant wait to see it prosper! It is a souls like which so many games on steam are now that there is a catagory for it. For a dollar dont take my word for it,buy it try it out,if ya dont like it refund it,BUT if you seen even the smallest bit of potential keep it! i for one will be supporting this for a long long time!
