This game is hugely community oriented. The mechanics for the game go hand in hand with cooperation and encourage you to work together by incentivizing diversity in playstyles through kits that work together best if everyone picks a different dwarf.

The devs take feedback insanely well with QoL updates and changes based on what the community asks for. They also do an amazing job of rewarding players for playing and taking part in the community vs rewarding you from how much money you spend on the game.

This game is great fun with a lobby of friends, or even solo if you're brave enough.

Sound:
The sound design creates a very strong ambiance in bringing forth the "sounds of silence" so aggressively to your ears to really tense you up and have you expecting the worst. It clears up when you are in the safety of the outdoors but as soon as you step foot into the haunted area it is deafeningly quiet.

Gameplay:
Like many horror games the thrill of the genre can fade once you learn the game more mechanically, and the devs do an amazing job of adding new mechanics and tweaking things that prove to be too strong. You used to be able to just run away in a straight line and you'd be fine, now they're faster. Changes to communication and how the ghosts can find you, and how you can tell you are in danger help the horror side.
Meanwhile, the gameplay of finding clues is also improved upon. The devs recently changed a lot of the items for better to make them more interactable to figure out exactly what is haunting the area.

If you enjoy horror games to feel on the edge of your seat, savoring the feeling that you cannot fight back, you just have to get your job done and get out as fast as you can, then this game is a great one.

This game falls into the boss run genre, most of the mechanics and gameplay are for its boss fights. Between the boss fights there are more open maps to explore and experience some nice storytelling about Norse mythology and give the player some chance to ease into using the new mechanics unlocked from the shrines found in these maps. The shrines are spread out to encourage exploration.

The mechanics feel smooth and allow some decent difference in play styles and problem solving for different approaches to beating the bosses. The bosses are varied and are well paced alongside the new mechanics from additional shrines (abilities) being unlocked.

Lastly, the art style is very unique and fun, I love this company's art team personally, and their soundtrack is very fitting alongside the epic tale of this viking trying to fight her way into Valhalla. I strongly recommend this game if you enjoy boss fights and learning mechanics, for that description it could fit into a 2D souls-like category.

This game feels like one of the most honest spiritual successors to Left 4 Dead. The game does not rely on class progression or unlocks to provide the players with a sense of improvement. You are able to use all possible weapons, gear, items at your disposal from the get go, and it is up to you to figure out what works and what doesn't and improve your own playstyle within the parameters of the missions.

It is a game best played with friends or at least with voice communication. Gameplay is aided by being able to quickly communicate information to each other and work as a team.

The skill cap is high and therefore the punishing aspect of the game is as well. You need to be willing to learn from mistakes, and quite often when you die you know what you did wrong to get there.

A very solid game, I enjoyed playing it thoroughly. If you are a fan of portal, this game is very much in that direction of puzzles in a closed facility with no one but yourself. The loneliness can be very unsettling, as well as the very stark colors. This game does a nice job of hiding "secrets" or bonus things that the player can uncover, however, I, myself, would enjoy it even more if there were achievements to be unlocked. For what this game seems to want to acheive, being a single player puzzle game, with an eerie feel to it, I believe it does well with its use of colors, sounds, and the puzzles in this game are very fun to solve. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a short, simple game to pass the time.
