A genuinely happy, fun, enjoyable story. Variety in gameplay loop that I still haven't gotten the full gamut of. An absolute gem of a game.

If you like solving puzzles, engineering, or base building, this game will delight and challenge you. The Space Age expansion completely adjusted the challenge and is even more delightful.

Highly recommended!

Fun game. Now owned by Epic. Has become a whale-hunting micro-transaction hellscape.

Pretty much the gold standard on MOBAs, but generally speaking it's a horrible learning experience unless you have friend(s) to guide you through it, and even once you know how to play it often devolves into incredibly salty/toxic games with teammates criticizing your every choice.

Imagine going out to play flag football at a park, and before the first play the folks on your team are criticizing your choice in shoes, your posture, and which position you chose to play. Then once the game starts, complain loudly about the fact that you don't hold a candle to their favorite professional player, while themselves appearing to have the hand-eye-coordination of a 3-year-old.

If that sounds appealing, download this game, and enjoy.
For everyone else, yeah...can't recommend. Doesn't mean I don't subject myself to this torture frequently, as the wins can be quite fun, and it's fun to play with friends. It's just not one I'd recommend.

Bought this in the hopes that it would be more fun than it looked like. I was wrong. I may only have 7 hours in, and maybe I'm not the audience it's geared for, but after giving it a chance, I'm rather unimpressed with it. Game glitches aside (and there are _plenty_ of those to go around), the game mechanics themselves are just....dull. Work with the other survivors (or not, doesn't truly matter) towards one of several ways to escape Jason. Except that just because you helped doesn't mean you'll get to benefit (find the battery + the gas, but not keys? Someone else might just have keys and drive off without you. lol). It also just makes the game dilute. There's so much to potentially do, and so little coordination without a full group that you really wander kinda aimlessly for most of the game. When you are found, it _is_ possible to escape, with some really witty play, and good stealth stats, and some decent luck. However 90% of the time, once Jason finds you, either you die, or the guy that gets between you and him dies (then you die). Add to this the forced video intro/outro that are annoying at best, the two generations old (or worse) quality graphics (seriously....it's not pretty), and a heavy lean towards luck vs. skill gameplay, it's bland. I've played for 7 hours (maybe not a whole lot, but enough for like 30 rounds), and I've enjoyed about 3 minutes total. (I had a pretty epic escape in a car in which I managed to dodge Jason twice, which, given how brokenly bad the controls are, was a miracle). Compare this to Dead by Daylight where after some 600+ hours (though to be fair, probably 200 of that was queue times) I _still_ get adrenaline rushes and genuine fun out of at least one in ten games, if not more frequently, and definitely enjoy the majority of rounds. I've read a bunch of reviews praising the multiple routes to victory in this over DbD, but really, the singular goal in DbD is what adds the intensity. There's a single focus on what needs done, and a lot goes wrong enroute.

Hugely, amazingly, and incredibly worth playing. Able to keep your blood pressure up after HOURS of gaming, with glorious moments of victory/juking and devastating moments of loss. Not for the weak of heart or those that dislike horror movies, but this is as close as you will get to being in one.

Do wish the matchmaking improves though. But the devs have been doing a great job with updates and fresh content.

I gave it an hour, I read up on other reviews, and I'm sorry, but this game just doesn't have much going on, and if you "have to experience it for yourself", then I'd remind you that you can say the same thing, but start your sentence with: "Man, that porta-potty is terrible, but really, you have to....." yeah. That.
If someone can give me a compelling reason to continue meandering through a bland game that urges you to think strategically about placement of pseudo-random adjustments to your environment, while having limited time to think about it, for the reward of: umm, doing it more? Perhaps I could be convinced to try it again. But it's not likely.

Wow! What an experience. I'm a fan of games that force you to think outside the box, and break barriers (I.E. Braid and Portal) but this game takes the mind-blowing puzzles and keeps pushing you to think in new ways through to the end. Forget physics, even what you thought game physics was, it doesn't matter here. Then they wrap it up in a stark but friendly environment that keeps you itching to find out what the next piece of advice or moral will be.
Well done! I greatly enjoyed.
