Crikey! What have we here? A game about the beautiful wildlife!

As an Aussie, I think we have found a game that would make Steve proud! It has a strong message, that humans should improve the environment around them, and leave it better than they found it.

From a game-play standpoint, this is a fun casual un-city builder. You are role in this game is to strategically place buildings, to both create atmospheric conditions, and encourage animals to seek out your land. From there, you must find a way to tactically retreat so that your footprint is completely removed, leaving just the animals to enjoy their new nirvana.

Whilst not overly complex, it provides a beautiful and light puzzle experience. You will find yourself restarting a few times, as you get a grapple on the mechanics, as it is introduced to you in stages.

Don't expect to sink 1000 hours into this game, but it is a delightful palette cleanser between drinks.

Can I can a slow clap from anyone who started ripping individual packs, to ripping boxes at a time!

If you hold right click, you can pull 5 packs and smash them back to back, thank me later!

If you haven't added this to your cart yet, you might miss the chase cards...

Is this a period game? Am I running my grocery store in 1950 before computers were invented?

Wait, no... The game has a PC. THEN WHY ISN'T MY STOCK ON HAND SHOWING UP ON THE DAM PC!!!!

This game should be called running endlessly between your shelves and computer whilst you try to inefficiently manage a grocery store. Also have you heard of min/max auto replenishment? These are very simple features and something any actual store would use.

So yeah if you don't mind speed running ordering groceries for a store, then you'll love it, otherwise it may become a bit tedious and slow as you push to grind through the early game. I am almost 20hrs in, and each day is profitable, but just not getting very far.

Great Compact Little Game

I picked this game up on a whim from an article I read, and so glad I did. The game is simple, fun, and very aesthetically pleasing. This is pitched as a low stress city builder and that's exactly what it is. The game does not put a lot of pressure on you to achieve, and as long as you take things slowly and plan your city, you should rarely become stuck.

This game is the perfect way to wind down at the end of the day, and found it personally very soothing. While there are some games where you put 100s of hours into them. It felt really good to complete the main story line and 100% all the achievements in 20hrs. There should be more games like this, As I enjoyed the sense of achievement, am I am sure I will be back in 12 months to do it all again.

I have seen a lot of complaints about the lack of role playing in this game. If that is the experience you are looking for. I would recommend New Vegas. That being said Fallout 4 is right up there for me. The combat is far superior to New Vegas, especially for Stealth/Sniper builds. I have done a massive play through that feels more like Ghost Recon, than Fallout.

The world is incredibly expansive, and most of the rooms reset every couple of days, so you're going to forever be running into people, hearing gun shots in the distance, watching the brotherhood drop in, get hunted by several different factions. All of this makes the world feel so alive and vibrant. On top of that, the world is incredibly dense!

Once you're all done running, hunting and looting. It's back to one of the many bases you can acquire to begin building out your settlements. While base building can be a bit clunky, and take some getting use to, it is worth it in the end. Not only do you get nice fortified areas to keep your gear, and settlers moving into these bases, if you have a beacon. They add some great perks, and serve as a nice homebase to pick up and retrieve companions. If you're playing survival, these bases become invaluable.

So leave your role playing at the door, pick the silly answer, pull out your Fat Man, and have a good time.

TLDR: Unfinished, messy, and a lot of bugs.
This game had promise with what it was trying to deliver. It felt like it was trying to be a 3D version of Terreria or Starbound. Procedural generated infinity explorable dungeon crawler.

What we got was 1996 half finished version of the wish.com banished. It takes forever to get anywhere, even when you get there, there isn't much there. You are only one incorrect jump away from becoming stuck in a glitch, and within the first hour the game is already feeling repetitive as it lacks the life and immersion of a vast world that has been created with interesting places to visit, and sites to see.

Even on sale I would give this one a pass.

Great Game! But still missing some of the loved HF1 features.

I am having a love/hate relationship with this game at the moment. While I love the new UI, and I absolutely love the colour palate tool that has been created. It is still missing some of the core elements from HF1.

The biggest thing for me is the ability to mow the grass so it looks tidy, as well as being able to put curtains on windows. It would also would be nice to see carpet, skirting boards and dirt to make a return, but I have found some work arounds.

If you enjoy designing houses, it's probably the best sim on the market currently. That being said, you will need to get creative, otherwise you're going to have some very cookie cutter houses.

Would 1000% recommend to anyone interested in building their own PC.

While many reviews I have read, say this has no real world application, when learning to build PCs, it definitely does. Granted the physical aspect of assembling the PCs in the game is very basic. The game will not punish you too much for assembly components in the incorrect order, which would normally make cabling almost impossible. Nor does it go in depth with wiring up things like the tower controls and ports.

However, it is a great tutorial in understanding computers. What parts work together, what parts don't. You will start to learn that 2 Graphics Cards with identical VRAM are not identical. You will learn the difference between module and non module Power Supply Units.

I am very new to system building, and pushing through this game, I have been frustrated not knowing why I am not passing a mission. I have had to google videos, to watch explanation, then I can apply what I have learned in a practical way. Using my knowledge I have then learned to find the correct parts, and understand why they are different.

Even though I only just finished a build a couple of weeks ago IRL. I am already excited to make some upgrades to it, based on what I have learnt, and feel like I am going in a lot more experienced, and with a good knowledge of what I am looking for.

Plus unlimited PC building at $0. What is not to love about that, show us your RIG!!!!

This is both wacky and entertaining. The whole game is played with just the A and D keys. There is no explanation on how to play, yet somehow you just kind of know. The game is addictive and fun, and keeps you coming back for more. Absolutely beautiful little time waster.

Timberborn is a great break from most modern simulation games. Whilst there is a bit of a learning curve to wrap your head around the game. It doesn't become this overwhelming behemoth that becomes daunting to manage.

You have the ability to expand organically, and as long as your beavers are fed, have access to water, and somewhere to sleep. Then you won't have too many problems.

I am really enjoying trying to master the river. While it seems simple at first, there are many different paths for you to push the river. While the drought mechanic is easier to overcome with a few simple dams, I do love the water management aspect of the game during drought periods. It feels natural, and much like what dam operators would do in real life.

Things I would like to see added!
We have a drought mechanic, but it would be awesome to have a late game flood mechanic, so you then have to think even more deeply about your water management, ensuring you are holding too much, or have ways to divert excess water.

Multiple path types would also be a great addition. The game relies heavily on creating efficient pathing for your beavers. However, having multiple path types with pros and cons, could add a fun new element. Have a path that reduces movement speed by 0.7, but increases attractiveness. Or even having more expensive path to build, but grants movement boost under water. Bridges would also but a nice aesthetic addition, as the game is visually beautiful, and this would really add to it.

The game offers both hydro, and wind as options for electricity. It would be nice to see the addition of Solar, as this fits well with the theme, and would offer a good alternative as you start to venture further from the river.
