The game is a fun experience, if you think you might like it just get it.

Pros

• The basic potion crafting system is very fun. You can go crazy with optimization if that's your thing, but as long as you land an approximate ratio you can get by.
  
• The game scratches an itch the same as games like recettear, graveyard keeper, weirdly also civilization with the one more turn vibes.
  
• The style and dialogue animations are very nice.
  
• The relationship incentives to get more cards make it easy to care about new characters.

Cons
I loved the game up to day 30, by then I stumbled upon an infinite deck which kinda ruined some of the elements of the gameplay loop. Around the time I got to an infinite deck point the other parts of the gameplay loop started to crack due to scaling. The infinite deck just allowed me to get to the end of the game relatively quickly. At the start you have limited ingredients but have to solve simple ingredient combinations to get a good ratio. The scaling, however was pretty lousy.

• Slightly different spider ingredient that is 2X the ingredient count as small spider. Different color crab shell does 1.5x the effect.
  
• You can just give every potion to a hero to force expeditions.
  
• Shopping with Quinn becomes a huge chore
  
• There's definitely not enough depth to the crafting system.

Yes it's that good, just buy it

You know when you built a bridge in animal crossing and your villagers sat there at inauguration day pretending everyone contributed?

In this game it's basically the same, but then you can sacrifice that bastard to eldritch horrors in revenge.

Easily Game of the Year and banger of a soundtrack.

Colony was doing well.
Accidentally locked coal behind random sand that fell down from way above.

Ran out of power.
Toilets out of service.
Everyone peed on the water supply.
Overheated base while scrambling to clean the water.
Crops dried out and everyone died.

10/10 would print again.

10/10, amazing occult experience.

Do yourself a favor. Do not look ♥♥♥♥ up, getting in the culty mood is very good for this game. You will be 'stuck' for 2 hours reading books without making real progress, but you will get some sweet madness and lore that can really enhance the experience.

PS: If you hold a card magnets can't steal it. Use this to avoid dumb game overs.

I've played through this game twice, every time a big patch comes out.

This game stresses me out and makes me wanna break my monitor.

I love it.

But seriously, working out a party, naming them and giving them skins, getting attached... and then finding that shambler altar... I mean you guys can make it right?
