Another great game from Supergiant. Combat is fluid and easy to learn with a high skill ceiling. Characters are enjoyable and each run keeps you on your toes.

Definitely recommend to those looking for roguelite hack and slashes! The different weapons add variety so its not just melee only!

A lot of people hate on this game because its "P2W' but I disagree with that sentiment. Lost Ark is only Pay 2 Win if you think of winning as being at the end game as fast as possible (AKA have FOMO). FWIW I made it to end game content without paying.

In reality, this game is Pay to expedite your progression but as a F2P player with 300 hours, you can progress at a good pace without paying. The P2W can be best described in this metaphor:

Paying players are driving a ferrari, Free players are driving a basic sedan. The ferrari and sedan are next to each other at the stoplight. The stop light turns green and of course the ferrari accelerates ahead, but eventually there will be another stoplight where the sedan will inevitably catch up. Hence why Korean Server players call this game Pay 2 Lose.

You can make gold in game to convert to crystals to buy whatever paying players buy as well to help your own progression. Alt characters are used to help boost your progression by funneling their daily/weekly materials to your main. Alts also have the benefit of breaking the monotony of playing 1 character. Again I would say people who pay simply skip the amount of time invested in progression, but if youre free to play then you'll still get there and never really feel stuck. There are moments where vertical progression does slow down, for everyone, but at that point you'll have alts to do and other things to spend time on than focusing on vertical progression.

Lost ark also constantly has events that help you earn materials for progression and to help boost your characters. They also give out powerpasses which help your alts skip content that your main has already completed.

If you aren't concerned with being at the end and like taking your time to get to the destination, then you'll find Lost Ark a great MMORPG to enjoy with friends. The dungeon/raid content is fun and the combat is rewarding. Use alts to your advantage and know that this game isnt meant for you to rush to the end in less than 100 hours, its an MMORPG, it takes time!

Made me nauseous 10/10 would not do again.

Great puzzle game. You could get lost for hours, only to figure out that the solution was simple.

Where do i begin?

The way the game is narrated is unique and the voice acting was very good. It directs you as the player and serves as the narrative all in one.

The gameplay began simple enough, but became challenging. You will get frustrated at certain points (I did) but it never becomes impossible. If you are into puzzle/platformers this is a good game to play. Only cons were I could easily get to place i shouldnt, and a little frustrating as sometimes you dont know where you need to go.

The graphics were good, I had no issues with it. The characters in the game look a little wonky but its a fantasy genre so I'm not picky about it. The game world itself was gorgeous, I never got tired of it, and at the beginning of every level, I was thrown into another beautiful land.

The narrative itself was again, very well voiced, and well written. I have also noticed a metaphor for the entire narrative itself (NO SPOILERS). But if you are someone who enjoys looking for hidden meanings, this game is definitely for you. Definitely some feels in the narrative especially towards the end.

My rating 8.5/10. Definitely worth playing through for the narrative and the beautiful world. I would give it a higher rating if it was longer, it took me 2hrs to finish it.

Was able to get in, it was laggy at the beginning but stabilized when I turned off V-sync and allowd 60+ fps.

Running a GTX 1080, 16 GB ram, i-7 cpu.

You kind of are just thrown into the game, without any extensive tutorial. I had to go into options -> controls to figure out a few things.

Gameplay:
Very positive about it, sandboxy almost. You can do whatever you want, the game just barely guides you. You arent forced to do anything. Crafting is simple system. Repair/recharging system is also simple and easy to do. Exploration is fun, although takes forever on foot as is expected. Cave systems are cool and interesting, and finding creatures is cool and exciting. It is a very mesmerizing game, kills lots of time.

Negative part of the gameplay is not knowing how to access certain things as they require access cards, etc... but I'm sure and I hope I get to find these later down the line? The graphics do feel slow and blurry at times. Its very disorienting, especially on the planet.

Controls:
Flight controls, its annoying and the anti-crash system really ♥♥♥♥♥ with your flight, if you get too close to anything it will push you away. You cant free-look in the cockpit. Mouse is used for pitch-yaw, A and D are used for Roll. System is a little funky and ive found myself flying in circles trying to figure out how to go the way i want to fly. I've played Elite Dangerous and never had an issue with the flight system. You arent given a lot of control in terms of speed and slowing down. Why the hell can't I hover? The ships clearly should have that ability when you take off vertically. It dumbs down the flying system compared to a game like Elite dangerous and it makes it very annoying to get used to.

Movement is fine, combat is fine so far, no complaints. You do start off with little inventory space IMO, I did some extensive exploring before I flew out into space and found that the inventory is small and im hoping I can get bigger inventory space later on.

Not a perfect game, I was lucky enough to get in without any crashes, but with the amount of people crashing, this game needs a lot more work. Not worth the $60 I payed IMO. Will fix review if they fix these issues.

Tl:Dr
High potential game, poorly executed. Lack of co-op upsetting if you wished for that. Flight controls terrible and annoying. Reports of people crashing on startup. Textures/land is disorienting because it gets blurry sometimes and just isnt smooth or has no definition.
