This game is a short, nice experience with some interesting ideas. Also, I like the graphical style a lot, as while it goes for a somewhat PS1-esque style it still manages to have some interesting artistic decisions, such as the lighting given off by Exit-signs and the rather harsh shadows cast by them. Some parts of it, especially the prominent usage of alarm clocks, reminded me stylistically of Superliminal as well.

As for the story, there isn't really anything concrete. You are in an office building, alone, and at first just have to walk through it. Maybe this is why there are so many people comparing the game to Stanley Parable, even tho I think outside their initial settings The Elision Effect is quite different, You aren't guided through the game by a disembodied voice, instead you have to figure out what's your goal yourself. No, we don't get to know who Elision is, maybe it's the player character?

A final note about the length of the game: Yes, it's short. I've played through the game in 25 minutes, according to steam. Also, the ending of the game is rather abrupt. But I bought it for less than €2,-, so having an interesting, quite memorable experience even tho its short was worth that money for me and I'd argue it can be for a lot of people.
