Like banished, but also has its own unique flavor and does its own thing. It's pretty easy to make towns look samey because there's a lot of incentive to grid everything. But I've seen some people make decent looking organic towns too. Idk, it's a good game.

Honestly if you enjoyed the OG Stronghold you'll probably enjoy this one.

But if you're like me and all your memories are really of playing skirmishes in Stronghold: Crusader you'll find that this game is missing a skirmish mode.

I see people say this is a solo developer. I don't believe it. Ain't no way. This game is just too crisp.

Machinarium is truly something unique. If you've never played it, do yourself a favor and do so.

It's been years since I last loaded it. But the story, the atmosphere, everything has stuck with me and left good vibes since.

You will not regret this quirky puzzle game.

Incredibly good.

It's a great foundation but lacks a bit in content compared to some other games in the same genre, particularly Settlement Survival but also even Vanilla Banished has a few more products and buildings to try. Obviously, if comparing to Anno or Kingdoms Reborn it doesn't really hold a candle to either in terms of breadth of content.

TLDR: An excellent and fun foundation to expand. Lacks a bit in content but with some time can be built out. love the graphics and Aesthetic of the game and the farming mechanics are enjoyable.

I like that I can dig holes everywhere and dump trash into them while filling in the ocean.
