Has zero underage gambling, thus it's infinitely superior.

Okay, having said that, Counter-Strike Source is a timeless classic, still played by many to this day, and will continue to be played for many more years to come, even though it's been 2 decades since it's release.

This game really lives up to its name.
It's a surprisingly fun (and sometimes frustrating) take on the Wii Sports bowling obstacle courses.

Counter-Strike 2 is Counter-Strike with all of it's soul sucked out by competitive players and gambling addicts.

It's still plays like Counter-Strike, it looks like Counter-Strike, it even is sweaty like Counter-Strike, but it doesn't feel like Counter-Strike. Not anymore, at least.

It's a genuine downgrade from CS:GO, hell, it's a downgrade from CS:S, because as much as Source is contested with all of its slight changes that make the 1.6 purists angry, it at least isn't a bot and cheater infested sweat fest.

And what's more? If you miss having your tacky gun skins in 1.6, CZ and CS:S, just head over to Gamebanana, and download them for free. No need to gamble your life away for something that you'll only ever notice.

Speaking of gambling, there's underground casinos promoted by streamers and influencers who entice underaged players to gamble skins for real cash and turning them into addicts, and according to Coffeezilla, some reported to start as young as 13.

Valve takes a cut from these as, even though those sites go against the Steam TOS, they enable this with the lootbox system that's become illegal in some countries and the trading system which is almost always never used for its intended purpose. They have no incentive to crack down on it, because they benefit from it.

If you value your time, money, and morality, please do not play Counter-Strike 2.

tl;dr: Play Team Fortress 2 Classic instead. Download it from here, it's free: https://tf2classic.com/

Anyways, here's the rest of the review.

Ah, TF2. A team-based shooter that was once considered a classic by many players all over the world, and one of my favorite FPS games of all time.

However, it's been nearly 2 decades after its original release, and time has really not been kind to it at all.

It's in a sad state of disrepair, with many optimization problems, serious visual bugs, glaring balancing issues, and broken, bandoned features, all ignored in favor to futiley cater to competitive players and whales.

The Meet Your Match Update added a horrible matchmaking system that also indirectly killed community servers in a vain attempt to copy Overwatch, and for a while, it was a vector for a cheater bot crisis that lasted for years and only was recently snuffed out, with sporadic appearances.

Not to mention, there's a favoritism problem with a certain TF2-focused group that's strong-arming Workshop creators and Valve like some sort of mafia, making sure nobody else gets a chance for their contributions to be added to the game.

If you want to play Team Fortress 2 as it was like in the good ol' days, I wholeheartedly recommend Team Fortress 2 Classic!
