Early Access Review
I played this game during the free weekend, and I'd advise anyone on the fence to do the same.

I really wanted to like this game because, after all, it's Cyanide and Happiness. They produce hilarious comic strips and YouTube shorts, but Explosm cannot make a good game. I had hoped for a cool single player game with a decent story, but instead we got another multiplayer battle royale with no real purpose or uniqueness.

This is merely a 2D scrolling adventure with a meager tutorial, finnicky weapons, and inventory managment that is nowhere near intuitive. Given that this game also has a store to squeeze out those microtransactions from those with propensities for gambling addiction, there is no way I'd pay $20 for the base game. If it were F2P, I'd give it another shot, but I'm passing on this one.

Explosm, you really could have done better.

The only reason I returned to the Quake scene was because this game was free to play. Now there is zero incentive to play a game with such outdated graphics and programming.

There is always a girl, and there is always a lighthouse.

Yet, there are doors to an infinite amount of possibilities.

Constants and variables.

Universe Sandbox is exactly what its namesake implies. You have the ability to play around with heavenly bodies and change parameters that make them move in strange or unique ways. A word of warning, though: Even the beefiest of gaming rigs can become taxed if the simulation is complex, because this game is making many physical calculations simultaneously.

My only complaint about the game is that it only follows classical Newtonian mechanics. It doesn't account for relativistic effects. For example, I have been able to eject a planet from a solar system at 10c, or ten times the speed of light, but in real life that's physically impossible.
