a high octane, semi-horror roguelite climbing game with an actual engaging gameplay loop and extremely addictive gameplay, what's more to love?

this game has quickly become one of my all time favorite games

it's a survival game developed by a passionate and amazing team, spearheaded by a guy who ♥♥♥♥♥♥ hates the genre and uses that hatred as fuel to improve the less enjoyable parts of survival. The amount of love and care is put into every single aspect of the game is astounding.

stuff i love:
-general gameplay loop feels smooth and well thought out. So its a great pick for an intro to the genre!
-you feel yourself getting stronger throughout your playthrough. Not just in skills but also things such as utility and QoL
-a massive and details map to explore with little secrets sprinkled all over the place

my only real gripes with the game are:
-leveling some skills is exceedingly painful without altering sandbox settings
-most starting professions quickly lose their usefulness as you progress. Making their specific skill XP buffs obsolete around the mid-game

all around its an amazing game that deserves way more love than it gets!

the amount of passion that OOZES out of every corner of this game is absolutely amazing. The writing, characters, endings, and so much more all show the love and passion BG have for their work! Keep up the amazing work!!! <3
