fun FPS game with no HUD and a good story. I remember liking the second game a bit more.

One of the most difficult games I've ever played.
I love my grid-based (or hex-based) turn-based combat, but be prepared to give this game your full attention.
I highly recommend playing on the lowest difficulty (something I usually never do) for a while and then when you get the hang of things, look into some tutorials so you can realize why everything you've learned while playing is wrong.
I've played the game for 3 days and have 18 hours in it. It's dominated my free time and I can't wait until I get the combat and economic aspects of the game down so I can tackle the game more confidently on higher difficulties.

Be prepared to invest some time into your initial play-through and then feel the need to start over, but don't worry you can choose like 10 different "starts" if you have the DLCs. It adds some uniqueness to your game each time you play.

8.9/10

It's a buggy free to play with cosmetic microtransactions... but no. it isn't an Overwatch clone. Its a unique hero-shooter with interesting metas and gameplay mechanics. Imagine not playing Paladins

Early Access Review
Legacy is now COMPLETELY locked off from this game. Before you'd have to go through the trouble of switching what build you were on, but now they've cut themselves off from their old build entirely. To older players and veterans of this game, it's a shame. The newer game is alright for a bit of good fun, but in my opinion is over-saturated and lacks the simplicity that made legacy such a great, competitive experience.

It certainly isn't the worst use of 20$, however I do think that it lacks what originally made the game so compelling. Nowadays, you're required to play on a group and good luck trying to take over a server that's already being dominated by another group. It just doesn't play out in a way that's fair and competetive to everyone and doesn't cater well to people new to a server. Granted, rust never was about hand holding naked noobs, however it used to atleast give you a chance to inflict some damage to your enemy.

You don't get the same joy you used to from griefing and raiding enemy bases. However, it still does get some things, right. You're still going to be facing the same people on multiple occasions and you're still going to make enemys and forge alliances. There's a lot of hate and toxicity and it's absolutely wonderful, if you're mature enough to handle it.

All in all, I'd give the new product a 5/10. It has fewer exploits and way less cheaters than Rust Legacy, but it's lost most, if not all of it's charm. Is it worth a buy? That depends entirely on you and what you're looking for in a video game. If you wanna just run around and play it as a social game, you can totally do that. If you want to play fun minigames, (which are usually better in games CS:GO), you can do that too! If you want to get a group of friends and try to take over a freshly wiped server, You can do that.. However, don't expect to be able to just hop onto a vanilla server, try to succeed, and have a good time.

I don't like the direction this game is headed so, I will NOT reccommend this game. I hope Garry and his team can change my mind one day, but I really doubt it.

The closest thing you'll get to the "Uncharted" franchise on the PC, and trust me, it's pretty close. It does enough to variate from other titles like the Zelda-esque gear acquisition with crafting upgrades and new weapon features to go along with it. The stealth is a lot of fun and I highly support the design decision of minimal UI/HUD clutter. Works great with a controller, runs great on maximum settings with shadows turned down just a tad.

It'll take 10-15hours to complete the main-story depending on how much map completetion you do. Can't wait until the next Steam sale to get the sequel!
