A bit of a mess: I wish that this was a good Papers Please meets Project Zomboid/7DtD Instead it feels like it's a fumbling mess of different game modes. It's quite literally too easy to beat once you know the patterns, and it's actually a chore to get one of the hidden achievements (literally the bad ending).

Pros: -Duncan F***ING Fisher

Cons: -Clunky UI (Why did they pick Temp and Pulse and swap them in the tablet? Why do I have to scroll for five miles to get symptoms? Why do I need to do base management in my tablet?)
-Inconsistent game mechanics (X-ray/Contraband)
-Very poor and limited story line missions
-Glaring bugs that still aren't fixed (You can't stream to Discord natively)
-Tacked on mini games like base management, literally pointless carting dead bodies to feed a zombie and AC-130-esque drone mission (Why are there giant zombies?)

It's OK. I'd give it a 5/10

Void Crew is Pulsar meets FTL.

You are relentlessly pursued on a timer from jump to jump, harried by the 'HOLLOW'. Meanwhile you're only really going to encounter paltry 'METEM' forces on the way. There's no boarding actions to do (or ground combat), but there are plenty of places you can explore while EVA'ing, making each derelict spacecraft/space station/installation a little different but still mostly the same (much like Pulsar).

The good things and the bad things: The fact that there is no easy way to just 'continue' where you left off. It's the entire point of the game, but sometimes I do or I don't want to play for 3 hours straight. If people in your group ship of rando's drop out, it's sometimes very difficult to find someone who's build meshes with anyone else and you have to go back to the hub to start over again. This being said, it is very compelling gamewise. This game absolutely rewards teamwork, but can be played solo (albeit, with a significant difficulty penalty). It's a wonderful spiritual successor to both FTL and Pulsar: Lost Colony, and I hope the team behind it can continue making more and more content for it.

Very enjoyable, interesting mechanics with the voice detection and the different ghost types. I'm anxious to see how this game develops.

A broken game with few actual visible improvements over the original:

I'll give you that there are some nice smoothing over of some of the glitchy bot and character model actions from the first Insurgency game, however since I purchased it the audio has been notoriously buggy and glitches out for no apparent reason, and the added NVG and night map functions are ridiculously broken: Smoke reflects all visible light? The light levels between blinded by everything, including yourself and complete pitch black are horrifying.

KF2: Early Access (Review as of 2015/07/05): So far, so good. Runs smoother than KF1 on a laptop, has almost all of the same action with none of the jarringly bad accents (although you can still play as Masterson or Briar if you still like that old-school charm).

Thrice the types of clots as before, no 'Hand-Holding' easy mode, Hans is thrice as deadly as the Patriarch (but then again there isn't an asshat that lays pipebombs everywhere for a boss to blow up in their faces... yet.). Definitely recommend this game.

Just wish I had my trusty Winchester and Deagle.

Ever wondered what it's like to be a horrified untrained and ill prepared civilian when your town has just been overrun/been under siege by a semi-modern conventional/assymentrical-warfare trained military?

Nope. Not me. But hey, this is the guy who thought buying and playing Outlast was a good idea!

You get to control 3 civilians (with semi-European names) and somewhat useful skills (although there always is one 'good cook' but I don't actually know if he actually cooks better than the 'Excellent Scavenger' or 'Better Bargainer') who sit around in a dilapidated and rundown house while the city around them falls apart from some unknown military presence who... Strangely enough fails to make any progress whatsoever in taking the city.

You are then faced with a struggle of looting your own house (almost impossible on the first day unless you find some lockpicks as there are almost guaranteed to be locked doors) and then the houses of other people (some of whom may or may not be abandoned, at which point your options are very much Fallout: Negotiate for better stuff or outright steal their ♥♥♥♥ and/or kill them in the progress. Doing the latter makes you sad and requires group hugs before you can continue with your life.

Well; I've only ever had one successful heist go off well; every other time I end up getting shot to death and playing the game with just two people is too damned hard (HOW AM I GOING TO COOK ALL OF MY MOONSHINE NOW?!).

Would I recommend it? Probably. It's interesting. And the art style is good. The controls are a bit finnicky (as you will often think you have clicked on the right character but instead send another character from a task previously assigned to go answer the door for example) and as previously mentioned combat (if you engage in it at all) is brutally hard. But then again I think that was the point after all...

Hey GW Fans. Remember that game that existed so damn long ago about Termies facing Genestealers on a space hulk? It's now a VIDYA GAME! This means that your flamers, bolters, assault cannons and just about everything that can fail a 9' tall hulking gene-bred supersoldier of the 41st millenium, will do so in the absoute BEST fashion... AND NOW IN 3D!

If you never played Space Hulk, well... Tl;dr and ignore this review.

As a mindless bureaucrat, I can't help but condone this game for all of its mind-bending rules, regulations and your either strict adherence to government policy or finding out every last little story down to whether or not there is a Cobrastan.

Also: Where can I find a job like this outside of the CBSA/CPB?

Insurgency: It's like people who want a FPS shooter and don't want CALLADOODY gadgetry decided to make a game about a semi-reasonable shooter with some (albeit slightly cartoonish ragdoll physics, but that's the Source Engine's fault) more... well... More in touch with reality. No UAV's. No Spy Drones. No UCAV's. Nothing that's even remotely been mentioned in any episode of FutureWeapons. You have Body Armour, a series of light arms, and are going up against waves of insurgents who depending on their difficulty are either injecting Khat literally in their brainstems or are using it as an exfoliant facial mask.

Only faults: As stated above, Enemy AI can be unforgivingly cheating at times, horrifyingly poor at others. Spawn points can be predictable and you can traditionally speedrun levels once you know what you're doing and where the enemies spawn. Also: When you can only see an enemies head, but they can still shoot you in the face, is what I call a ♥♥♥♥ move.

Potato's Game Review:

A- Ken; you're almost nailing it. Just... More plot twists, WTF moments and reveal to me that those giant megaphone-eared guys in Comstock House can be snuck by instead of me wasting all of my ammunition. But otherwise, good job! Also; Troy + Courtney make for an excellent VA duo.
