Its unfortunate that so many people attempted to play this game on toasters, because its truly great and better than the first in every way except co-op.
I never cared for co-op and thought the game was phenomenal.
The game is MUCH more terrifying than the first game, to upgrade your gear you have to go into dark multi-level buildings at night that are filled with baddies. You're introduced to some of the scariest enemies much earlier in the game as well

Quit my job.
Play this game all day.

Most immersive game I think I've ever played. Felt the need to hold my breath on more than one occasion.
